in what ways does your media product use

In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products? Script: My media product challenges normal videos as the main protagonist is being chased and becomes one of the bad guys where usually they are looking to stop the antagonist and succeeds. Also in the media product the antagonist’s wins in the video this completely goes against the props theory where the protagonist or the hero always defeats the antagonist or the villain. So this makes the audience feel more uncomfortable as it goes against all they know and they feel comfortable with. Also the protagonist is a man and challenges stereotype of masculinity of men always being the strong man and protecting people from the “bad guy” as he is scared and runs away. The song is an indie song so not many people will know it so because it is indie people who are in to main stream songs may judge it before they have heard it. I kept with the conventions of the filming by having a variety of shots including close-ups of the main protagonist and antagonist and have kept the enigma code as my antagonist is wearing a mask throughout the entire video and that you don’t know why he is following the protagonist so this increases the effect of the enigma code. With my ancillary products I have followed the codes by including all relevant information needed by showing the social networking icons so that the audience can relate to the poster as it will be relevant to what media they use. The poster also includes the release date so that the audience will know when it comes out. My poster has a central image it draw the eye of the audience and the colours are bright and complementary so this is another convention that makes it stand out. Whereas the digi- pak has a pattern that breaks up the colours which keeps the audience’s attention longer so that they can look at it for longer. Also there is an enigma code on some of the panels you cannot tell who the person is.

In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

Script:

My media product challenges normal videos as the main protagonist is being chased and becomes one of the bad guys where usually they are looking to stop the antagonist and succeeds.

Whereas the digi-pak has a pattern that breaks up the colours which keeps the audience’s attention longer so that they can look at it for longer. Also there is an enigma code on some of the panels you cannot tell who the person is.
