• In my magazine cover, I have followed most of the conventions that my chosen magazine cover off the internet has also followed. The image on my magazine cover is an example of medium long shot which corresponds with the image on the example magazine cover. Both magazine covers follow the rule of thirds where the main image, cover lines and the barcode are placed in 3 columns. In my drafts I planned to have a main cover line which I followed when making my actual cover. It stands out as it is in a big font which dominates the cover and attracts the attention of the reader. My cover as well as the example cover go by a colour scheme; for example my image has a tint of blue so I have made sure the cover lines and masthead colours go with blue which is why I used the colour white.

• I have included most of the typical conventions of a magazine contents page on my page. I have of course included a contents title that corresponds to my masthead on the front cover meaning that the house style is consistent. I have also included page numbers along with the cover lines also featured on my front cover. The layout of my page numbers and cover lines is similar to how the ‘Shout’ front cover has been laid out. I have roughly followed the rule of thirds on my contents page, it is laid out more like 2 columns however the images fit into these columns. I have included images that relate to the cover lines mentioned in the contents so the reader can associate the images with certain cover lines making it clearer what the magazine is going to be about.
