Hello and welcome to the new-look In the Presence of Angels monthly newsletter. The idea is to take a step towards becoming more of a magazine and give our subscribers the opportuni-ty to benefit from some of the fantasti-cally-talented people that are members of our organisation through articles, tips, advice and channelled guidance.

We hope to see the magazine grow each month in line with the current growth we are seeing in our organisa-tion, which is very vibrant and exciting.

This last month, as we all are aware, has been a testing time containing some turbulent energy. We have, as always, seen the light of positivity and healing triumph over the challenging moments and it is within this energy that we step forward into June. Em-powered, uplifted, aware of our inner strength and with the feeling that the world is on our side, we now decide the direction we wish to face and begin to take the first steps.

Our writers are experiencing this same energy as you and it is from here that they write for you. They write with awareness.

We are keen to fill future editions of this newsletter with some great content from those associated with our organisation. If you have ever taken one of our courses or work-shops, had healing from one of our therapists or connected with us in any other way then this qualifies you to get your writing hat on and send something in.

We are particularly keen to hear about your experiences of using your your reiki and other healing talents in your daily life. See the ‘Insight into our vision’ article in this issue for inspiration. Perhaps you have simple tips that others may be able to use or a new therapy you would like to tell us about. Whatever it is, get in touch and we’ll have a chat.

The Use of Colour in Our Lives by Marcia Orenstinctively, even as small children, we have a tendency to be drawn to certain colours which can correspond to our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual state.

Certain colours stay with us as favourites for many years and tend to be reflected in the colours we choose to decorate our homes, of the cars we drive, our hair colour, clothes and the make-up we wear.

But what do these colours tell the outside world about us, as the outside world has intuition and perceptiveness too. It’s not just confined to us who deem ourselves to be more enlight-ened.

So, what colour do you like the most?What colour do you like the least?Now ask yourself why those colours!

Come on, dig deeper how long have you liked or disliked these colours? And what was happening in your life at that time?

Now we’re getting somewhere. Has that issue now been resolved and if so why do you still have that colour palette predominantly in your life?

Why are you still wearing the same colours in your make-up, clothes and hairstyle at 40 as you did in your 20s? Is it ap-propriate now and what message are you giving to the world, particularly if you are interacting on a professional level with others. Does it give the impression of someone who is inflex-ible, lacking maturity and confidence?

As we know with our embracing of the Reiki Principles change is uncomfortable, difficult and takes a great deal of effort to sustain, even when we want to make those changes, but necessary for our development and in order to achieve our potential.

If you are an holistic therapist and concerned that you are not attracting the client base that you could and would like, then have a picture taken of yourself. Examine how you project yourself in your stance, clothes, make-up, hairstyle. Ask your-self is that the image you want to give? Is that the real you?

Look at your skin, is it in good condition? Are you cleans-ing, moisturising or over-exposing your skin to sun damag? Is your make-up suitable for your skin tone, complexion, age and how relevant and suitable are the colours you’re using?

Remember, the right clients for you, those who will benefit from your skills, knowledge and experience will be drawn to you based initially on how you project yourself.

What type of clients do you want? Teenagers, Families, Couples, those seeking comfort and guidance, those wanting a nudge in the right direction for them, or the more mature cli-ent or perhaps a cross section? Then present yourself accord-ingly, even when not in the workplace, and they will come to you. So always have some of your business cards with you.

For example on my way back from holiday in Jamaica I was approached by a woman who had been on the same flight going there and even stayed at the same hotel. She had no-ticed me and felt drawn to me saying she felt I was spiritual. However, I projected friendly, but wanting space. That was exactly what my holiday was all about. And that’s what she gave me until our return flight to the UK two weeks later, and in a bustling Montego Bay Airport we talked and I gave her a reading. Isn’t that amazing? She felt I had something to offer her and she waited.

So, if you’re having an off-day and have clients to see, a busi-ness meeting to attend or committed to interacting with others that day, throw open your wardrobe and choose the colour you are least drawn to – first ensuring that you have a range of colours which reflect the colours of the chakras. Then wear one item of clothing in that colour. Never forget the power and influence you have as a walking, living, breathing advertisement of the joy of Reiki. Is that what the world is seeing right here, right now? And if not what are you going to do about it? This is also an area for development.

This may be an article that speaks out to you, but it could just be a single sentence, or even a word. Let the book fall open at the right page and flow with your life. Work in your moment and learn from everything!

We ask ourselves, who am I to be this brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are we not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.We were born to make manifest the glory of God

that is within us. It’s not just in some of us, it’s in everyone, and as we let our LIGHT shine, we uncon-sciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

ver the coming months we will be revealing in this newsletter how people use and interact with their Ascension Reiki in different, sometimes uncon-vetional ways.

Our agenda has always been to bring the holistic and the spiritual perspectives into all aspects of life. For, as our found-er Jacqueline Mary Phillips often tells us, “Spirituality is not something you do on a Saturday, it is part of everything you do.” People may use their Reiki to heal and energise themselves and even their friends and families, but do they then go to work and life continues as normal?

In these powerful times in which we live, it is neccessary for us to increase our awareness and step into mastery with responsibility.

I will start here by giving you an insight into our vision of a healing society. The benefits of Reiki healing may seem ob-vious, but as we look at the details and imagine (for imagination remains one of our most powerful gifts), we begin to see the true potential in a new and exciting way that we can relate to.

Imagine, if you will...

...a haridresser, or a butcher, or a waiter, or anyone that interacts with people eve-ry day. Pick someone you can relate to. Perhaps the person that sells you a news-paper every day or the postman who comes each day to your house.

Imagine this person is not aware of the world of energy around them. From this point of view they find themselves with the majority of people on this planet at present. Imagine they are having a bad day; a fight with their partner perhaps, fearful thoughts about their future, their car has broken down and they have been getting the bus to work for a week. Think of a unique circumstance for your char-

acter. Use your imagingation.

Not aware of the world of energy this person thinks that they are just in a bad mood and may try to shake it off. Maybe they blame it on others. Maybe they bury it inside. However they are reacting, this energy that they are holding onto attracts more energy at the same frequency. Like attracts like! As they sit next to someone on the bus, they attract. As they chat on the phone they attract. As they watch the TV they attract.

The hairdresser then cuts this energy into his clients hair all day. The butch-er slices it into everybody’s meat. The waiter serves it up on a plate. Imagine how much non-serving energy may be cut with those scissors, or the butcher’s knives. Also think how many people sat in the hairdresser’s chair and how their energy passes to him, or even sticks to the chair.

Then imagine you, a sensitive and aware person, come along and sit in that chair. You wouldn’t know what hit you. Hours, days or even weeks of scattered energy from countless sources knocks you for six. All of a sudden your special treat, your feel-good haircut or the nice meal you planned becomes quite the opposite. You may be left with an afternoon of cleansing and confusion to attend to.

As more and more people become in touch with their spiritual side, they open their hearts to the world and become very sensitive. The amount of people in this situation is growing rapidly in society and unaware services no longer ‘serve’ the needs of these people.

Now imagine the scene afresh:

Your character was aware that the argu-ment that started his downward spiral was caused by himself. He understands that he creates his reality and takes re-sponsibility. Before he leaves home he

releases this non-serving energy and em-braces his day with a positive outlook. On his way to work he attracts positiv-ity.

Along with this positivity, he cuts Reiki energy into his clients hair or food all day. The waiter energises every meal with Reiki. You leave a simple night out in a restaurant feeling energised and relaxed. This may become a healing turning point for your own issues at that time.

Between each cut the scissors or knives are cleansed, as is the chair. People no longer leave their energies behind. When you sit down in this hairdresser’s chair you feel a load lifted. You feel exactly what you wanted to when you booked the appointment for a treat.

The knock-on effect is that you then pass this energy around as you go about your day. So do the other, unaware people that sat in that chair that day.

So as you go about your day imagine the people around you are healers. Imagine Reiki energy being involved at every level. Imagine your bus driver is a Reiki Master, the person who sold you a bottle of water, the bank teller (just think how many hands a banknote has touched).

As you imagine this you help to anchor the vision. Imagination promotes mani-festation. A world of Reiki is our vision. It is the same world you see around you, but it has a new depth.

The beginnings ofHolistic Children & Family Services Ltd

s most of you are aware by now we have launched our sister company, Holistic Children & Family Services Ltd. As with everything I lay my hands to it seems to have taken off over night. Me, I am simply on for the ride and enjoying the journey.

Many years ago I had a tarot reading in which the reader informed me I would work with chil-dren. ‘Never!’, I thought, having at that point no desire even to have children let alone work with them, but she was right!

They say never work with animals or children but I have worked with both, including amongst my clients some humans. I have to say both the ani-mals and children have been my best clients, not least because they love and accept me uncondi-tionally. How much they have to teach us.

It is for this reason I love working with the children. Chidren tell you straight what they like and don’t like, for those of you who have never met me, this is what I am like too. Some people love that in me, some not so much. Those who don’t like it may find its because I am right and touch a nerve. How Arrogant of me. Well, maybe yes, maybe no, but in the words of Nelson Man-dela as featured in this issue,

“Who am I to be this brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually who are we not to be…there is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people wont feel insecure around you.”

So what’s this got to do with the children? Well we work with those who will be heard, who will shine their light, who will shout until the schools, parents, caregivers and society listen. They shout when there is injustice in the world, they are honest and forthright, angry, yes maybe, but wouldn’t you be if no one listened and all you were trying to do was change things for the better?

As a lightworker I have always done my best to shine, and will continue to do so, this time by helping those who would have their light ex-tinguished if we let others have their way; our children.

So as one who is loud and shouts, let it be heard, we will win! We will bring unconditional love and acceptance into every organisation, structure, and belief that needs to change in order that we all may shine our light.

C hange from the Inside Out. That’s the ethos of I have been living my life by for the last few years since discovering the wonder of Reiki. Jacque-line Phillips, Nicky Willis and all those associated with In the Presence of Angels have had a positive impact on my life, supporting and encourag-ing me through the good times and the not so good.

I have always been a spiritual person, involved in the mentoring and coaching of others and worked on making sure my appearance was pleasing to me, and maybe others. It is true what people say, first impressions do count irrespective of what you do in life.

So when you are trying to build relationships, not only personal but in relation to your business too, what impression are you giving? Warm, inviting and friendly or cool, dis-tant, even foreboding, and is that having an impact on your life.

Living the Reiki principles gives one a tremendous sense of balance, being comfortable with yourself and others, and just being you, but also helps you find the courage and strength you need when those “life challenges” jump up and slap you in the face. Not forgetting making those changes which are necessary in order for you to develop and become the person our Creator intended us to be.

So why not reflect you, the changing, developing you, on the outside too? As well as continuing with my life’s purpose as a Reiki Master, Teacher and therapist, giving Angel Readings and coaching, I offer additional services as an Independent Beauty Consultant and Make-up Artist. I am a member of the Guild of Holistic Therapists and the Guild of Beauty Therapists.

The services I provide in this area are one-to-one skincare and make up consultations, teaching clients how to care for their skin and apply make-up, however I will also ap-ply clients make-up for special occasions, such as prom nights, formal dinner events and weddings. For Hen parties I hold Make-up parties with individual Angel readings included.

Using Ascension Reiki

to aid the learning process

As a Reiki Master Teacher of Ascension Reiki and Angelic Attunements of Light, I feel the energy of this Reiki ascend-ing. All those who channel it can use it to aid this process both spiritually and in the more earthly side of life.

Whilst doing an intensive (hypnotherapy) course in April I used Reiki symbols to aid my learning. I activated cer-tain symbols by thinking of them and repeating them three times choosing symbols I felt would help me to learn and understand. Drawing them on my notepad as I was tak-ing notes and looking at them through out the day helped me to better understand and absorb the new things I was learning in my own way.

I soon realised that by making my connection to Reiki and asking for an angel to help me with my course I was able to keep my concentration and not feel so tired. The symbols I used were Communication, New Perception, Re-birth and, of course, the power symbol cho-ku-rei.

Experiment with your Reiki and become one with it.

Angel Image for JuneThose of you that have been to our centres or on our website will be familiar with our angel images. These channelled images are designed for specific healing and when used in meditation they are very powerful.

This month allow yourself to bond with our Angel of the Sacral Chakra. Take the time to create a relaxing space with candles, scents or music and gently gaze upon the image. State your wishes and then allow the healing energy to come from the image and pass through you as you and the angel beome one.

It is in the sacral that we find our true, inner strength and our power as an individual. Right now we are dealing with our own struggles and in the sacral chakra we find our way through.
