RAMADAN BLESSINGS AT OUR COLLEGE BY IMAM FAIZAN

All praise are due to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta-aala who has gifted us with the holy month of Ramadan.

Salutations be upon The Truthful and The Trustworthy Nabi Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wa Sallam who has

said, “This is a month, the first brings Allah’s mercy, the middle His forgiveness and the last of which brings

emancipation from the fire of Jahannam”. May Allah make us from His slaves whom have become the

recipients of these three distinctions Ameen

This year we started off Ramadan on a positive note. We have completed our Quran competition just before

Ramadan on a timely occasion. Students were motivated by the Quran competition. To continue the

momentum, students were allowed to recite the Holy Quran during the lunch break. Many students

participated and few ended up completing the khatam of the Holy Quran, Alhumdulillah.

After Isha, the school has been offering Taraweeh prayers in the school hall. By the grace of Allah, Imam

Mohammed Azhari and his team of Huffaaz completed the Khatam of the entire Quran in 15 nights. May

Allah accept their efforts and reward them abundantly in the Hereafter.

School Iftaar;

As usual, school conducted a mega Iftar on 9th of June and a very good number of parents and other

community and political leaders attended the program. The Iftar gathering strengthened the bonds of our

inter-community relationships Alhamdulillah.

During Ramadan we have been engaging in Ramadan activities in class. These included Ramadan decorations

such as Ramadan Lanterns, Moon Decorations, Ramadan Calendars, Ramadan Cards and Colouring in. We

also had Ramadan activities such as Ramadan Word Search, Ramadan Posters.

Launchpad Program – Prep

Our Prep students this term were introduced to gymnastics. Under the guidance of qualified coaches from

YMCA, our students participated in the ‘Launchpad’ program.

Launchpad teaches students fundamental movement skills in a fun and safe environment. It also provides

students with opportunities to develop physically, socially and cognitively.

The program consisted of 4 sessions and was held in our Multi-Purpose Hall. Students had an awesome

time and displayed various skills and abilities over the course of the program.

We would like to thank Sporting Schools, Gymnastics Australia and YMCA Jamboree Heights for their

partnerships and continued support of Sport and Physical Education at AIIC.

Yours in PE,

Mr Pat Solano.
