The global outbreak of Covid-19 has had a significant impact on how we will travel, move, meet and socialise in the near future. At the outset, our response to this crisis was one of protection
and togetherness, ensuring that the health, safety and wellbeing of our guests, teams, suppliers and local communities remained our number one priority, and that our estates were secure and
well-maintained, ready for when you, our valued guests, could safely return.
That determination to welcome you once again has been the driving force behind our teams having reshaped certain aspects of our business to ensure that you can enjoy your Hand
Picked experience comfortably, and safely, as travel and social restrictions ease.
We know that the criteria for booking your next break is likely to have changed, and when choosing to stay with us, we can assure you that your priorities regarding social
space, cleanliness, care and enjoyment are also at the top of our priority list. We take this responsibility very seriously and as such, we have developed ‘In Safe Hands’ - a set of measures
designed for everyone’s comfort and safety, and to help put your mind at ease.
As a result of these measures, you will notice that some areas within our hotels may look slightly different, yet the welcoming, family-feel of Hand Picked - from Edinburgh to the
Channel Islands and every one of our destinations in between - remains, as ever, unaltered.
The commitments we outline here may evolve as we continue to navigate this journey with any new recommendations that come to the fore. Fundamental to all of this however, is

OUR COVID-CARE COMMITMENT
Enhanced cleaning and sanitising protocols in line with government
guidelines, using certified products from leading suppliers.
Our cleaning processes have been upgraded and rigorous sanitisation
procedures continue to be carried out by our teams throughout our hotels, including
public areas, bedrooms and our space behind the scenes. You will find hand
sanitisers for use on arrival and at various locations throughout the hotel.

OUR COVID-CARE COMMITMENT
Flexible reservations with no quibble cancellations should plans change along with a seamless booking process and contactless
check in/out.
We have amended our reservations policy to offer fully flexible bookings with no quibble
cancellations should your plans unexpectedly change. You will be asked to pay for your booking in advance to allow for a more
seamless and contactless check-in experience and we will operate a cashless payment system for any additional spend, in order to minimise contact. Our communications have also been enhanced with pre-arrival emails so you know exactly what to expect from your stay, and can
better plan ahead to make the most of your time with us.

Safe spaces and social distancing with signage designed to safely guide and direct.
We have established safe social distancing practices in each hotel, using the appropriate markers and clear signage to help guide our guests and our teams to move safely around our hotels. With our historic buildings and
unique spaces, we have made the best use of all of our lounge areas and outdoor terraces,
patios and gardens, so that you will feel comfortably distanced from other guests
whilst relaxing and enjoying the surroundings. Please take time to explore!

Dining options such as a dedicated table and timings tailored for your comfort.
You will be allocated a socially distanced table solely for your use throughout
your stay, to enjoy breakfast and dinner. Seating times will be pre-arranged to
ensure that we have a manageable number of guests in any one space at a time. In our restaurants and lounges we will offer table service only, to avoid you having to approach the bar and reduce the amount of contact with our team.

Personal health and safety responsibility requirements for our teams and our guests.
Our team members, guests and visitors each have a vital role to play in keeping themselves
and those around them, healthy. Our teams are receiving ongoing training regarding
standards of cleanliness, health and hygiene and are complying with strict protocols
including frequent hand washing, and the use of appropriate protective equipment. We will check the temperatures of you and your party
on arrival and those of our team members before every shift. We ask you to be responsible, and not to come to the hotel if you feel unwell.

We have taken the necessary steps to protect against and prevent COVID-19 in our business and have received
certification from our expert health and safety partner to ensure that we meet or exceed government criteria.
The health, safety and wellbeing of our guests, teams and visitors is our number one priority. We are working
with our safety consultancy partner, Shield Safety Group, and their team of experts, to ensure protection against and prevention of COVID-19. We have committed to
this promise by signing up to the “Safe To Trade Scheme”, to give everyone who stays with us, visits us, or works with us, peace of mind and instil confidence that we are operating safely, and with ongoing independent
monitoring and transparency.
