Completed in 23 BCE. His tomb was started before he even took power because he wanted to show that he intended to be buried in Rome. Built on the Campus Martius. During ancient times it looked like a mound with rings of trees growing on it. This tomb was made in the style of early Roman settlers. A large statue of Augustus once topped the mound.

15 BCE This tomb shows Caius connection to Egypt. Do you think he liked Augustus? No The wall was built later and incorporated the tomb.

Late 1 st century BCE. Marcus Vergilius Eurysaces He was a baker. Also a freedman. The strange cylindrical objects are thought to be measuring devices or some type of dough rolling machine.
