    What is an Intelligent Network?

    Definition:

Intelligent Network is a platform where new

services can be created easily and deployed

quickly to existing telecom networks, such as

PSTN, GSM, CDMA, and data communication

    network.

    IN Functional Entity Introduction 1

CCAFCCAF Provide access of subscriber, interface between

user and CCF. Normally, its IN user terminal, like

    Voice/Data/ISDN terminal, etc.

CCFCCF Provide the means of establish and control service

to network users. Except for traditional meaning of call

and connection process, it also provide IN access trigger

    mechanism.

SSFSSF Communication bridge between SCF and

CCF.Recognize IN call and report to SCF; accept call

control from SCF and send it to CCF to complete the call

    processing.
