Youth BaseballNew Hope offers evening ball programs for youth ages 4 to 8. Participants need to bring a glove and a hat.Registration: Registrations will be taken through May 29, or until teams fill. Team size is limited. In an effort to evenly distribute teams, coach requests cannot be guaranteed.Schedules: Participants will be contacted with the time and location of first practice. A season schedule will be distributed the first night.Coaches: Volunteer coaches are needed for each team. We are looking for adults who are interested in teaching fundamentals of the game in a fun, positive atmosphere. Those who are selected to coach will receive a refund of their child’s registration fee.Team Shirts: Registration fee includes a team shirt. Shirts will be distributed the first night.

Pitch by CoachAges 6-8, learn baseball skills while having fun playing the game! Coaches will pitch and use Incredi-balls for this program. Off-Leash Dog ParksWant to give your canine buddy a chance to so-cialize with other dogs and run in a large, safe, enclosed area? New Hope has seasonal dog parks in three city parks for just that purpose.New Hope has off-leash dog areas in Civic Center Park (44th and Xylon), Lions Park (38th and Ore-gon), and Liberty Park (60th and Gettysburg). The off-leash areas are located in the hockey enclo-sures at each park.The dog parks are free and may be used during daylight hours only. Pet owners are responsible for controlling and picking up after their dogs. Dogs must remain on-leash until they enter the dog park enclosure. Read all of the rules posted at the dog park entrance. Tennis LeaguesThe cities of Brooklyn Center, Crystal, Golden Valley, New Hope, and Robbin-sdale are offering adult tennis leagues this summer beginning the week of June 8. Participants may choose to play in either the intermediate or advanced division. The program will consist of an 8-10 match schedule. Leagues may play matches in any one of the participating cities depending on the community that is administering your particular league. At the beginning of the season each player will receive a match schedule, which states when and where you will play. Match dates and times may be rescheduled by calling your opponent to make alternate arrangements, and then booking a court with the city. A Forfeit/No Show Policy requires play-ers to contact their opponent if they do not plan to play at the assigned time. The league champion will receive a championship t-shirt at the conclu-sion of the season. Register by May 22.

Outdoor PoolMilton C. Honsey Swimming Pool

4301 Xylon Avenue North v 763-531-5177The Milton C. Honsey Swim-ming Pool boasts a 50-meter, eight-lane outdoor pool with small slide, ADA ramp, stair entry, lap lanes, one and three-meter diving boards, and 13-foot drop slide. A sep-arate kiddie pool features a mushroom fountain, playhouse structure with fountains, swing and slide. Concessions are available. Baskets are available for secure storage of valuables while you enjoy the pool. The pool is heated to a comfortable 82 degrees.

Little OnesAges 3 to 4. Children must be potty trained to participate in Little Ones. Stu-dents will learn basic water skills, such as blowing bubbles, submerging their faces, paddling and floating, and become famil-iar with safe water practices.Level 1 - Introduction to Water SkillsMust be 5 years or older by the first day of class. Four year olds who have passed Little Ones may register for Level 1. Stu-dents explore simultaneous and alternat-ing arm and leg action on the front and back. Private Swimming LessonsNew this summer! Private swimming lessons will be offered to youth (ages 5 and over) and adults of all ability levels. These Red Cross certified lessons can be specifically tailored to each student’s needs and goals, making them ideal for people of all back-grounds. We even have a Spanish-speaking instruc-tor! Lessons will be avail-able during all four sessions this summer – register for as many weeks as you’d like. A minimum of one week advanced notice is required. To register call 763-531-5151. Birthday Parties at the PoolCelebrate your child’s birthday at the New Hope Pool. For one great price your party will receive admission to the pool and a special birthday table in the concessions area. Each party-goer will receive a hot dog, chips and pop. New Hope/Crystal Pool PassGet an entire season of outdoor swimming fun at the New Hope Pool and use the Crystal pool for no additional charge.Return the application form on the bottom of page 20 to New Hope Parks and Recreation Department, 4401 Xylon Avenue North, New Hope, MN 55428. A postcard indicating your season pass number will be mailed to you.

About the Season Pass✧ A family is defined as one or two adults and their dependent children under age 21, living at the same address.✧ One babysitter/nanny over age 15 may be included on a family pass.✧ Children born after 1/1/13 are free.✧ You must pay for each person listed on the family pass.✧ No guests or substitutions allowed.✧ No refunds after June 6, no exceptions.

How to use the Pool Pass:✧ Identify yourself at the admission window by giving your family pass number and your name.✧ The pass number will be checked with pool records.✧ Proof of address, phone number, and age for all listed on the family pass must be provided, if requested.✧ Any violation, misrepresentation, or falsification will result in forfeiture of the season pool pass and all monies paid for the pass.

Under ConstructionStarting in May, street improvements will be made to Xylon and 45th Av-enues near the pool. The pool will remain open during construction, however sections of the road may be closed. For current road closure infor-mation visit www.ci.new-hope.mn.us.

Your New Hope Village Golf Course is a beautiful nine-hole course with a par of 27. The course lies on 23 acres of gently rolling terrain. With large mature trees, water hazards and sand traps throughout the course, players of all skill levels will be challenged. These features make New Hope Village Golf Course a great place for people of all ages and all skill levels to enjoy the game of golf. The beautiful, air-conditioned clubhouse offers a wide variety of snacks and beverages and is a great place to relax after a round of golf.

Open GolfThe golf course has plenty of oppor-tunities for open golf. A round of golf only takes about 90 minutes. Reser-vations are accepted up to seven days in advance. Golf carts, pull carts, and clubs are available for rental.
