Have you ever noticed that righteous-ness and loyalty go together? In

other words, if we’re not being loyal — to our family, friends, country, job — then we aren’t going to experience

God’s best. Loyal people are honor-able people. When you’re loyal, you

stick with someone through thick and thin. When you’re loyal, you keep your

word to people — even if you get a “better” offer.

Loyal people are respectful of their country and leaders. Loyal people

honor their parents and defend their family. When you’re loyal, you are a person of integrity. You build trust with others. Is this an area where

you can rise higher? Are you faithful in the things you’re committed to?

Can you be more loyal? Don’t let the distractions of everyday life keep you

from being dedicated. Look for ways to show honor to those around you. Is there something you need to set aside

for the sake of a loved one? Show love by staying loyal. As scripture promis-es, when you pursue loyalty and righ-teousness, you will find the abundant

Heavenly Father, thank You for the promise of life in Your Word. Show me

any area where I can rise up higher by pursuing loyalty. Help me, by Your

Spirit, to be more faithful and sup-portive to those around me. Let Your

One translation of today’s simple verse says that “love looks for a way to be constructive.” In other words, love looks for ways to improve someone else’s life. Love brings out the best in other people. Don’t just get up in the morning thinking about yourself or how you can make your own life better. Think about how you can make someone else’s life better. Ask your-self, “Who can I encourage today?” “Who can I build up?” You have something to offer those around you that no one else can give. Someone in your life needs your encouragement. Some-one in your life needs to know that you believe in them. I believe God will hold us responsible for the people He’s put in our lives. He’s count-ing on us to bring out the best in our family

and friends.

Are you improving the lives of those around you? Are you pouring confidence in them? Why don’t you ask the Lord to give you creative ways to bring out the best in others? As you sow into the lives of others, God will send people along your path that will build you up so that you can embrace every blessing He has in store

Family/Extended Family íbendiciones! Please lift me in your prayers as I travel to Oklahoma in the month October to share this GOOD NEWS! I know someone that has never broken a promise, someone that can take any situation no matter how bad it might seem and help you make some-

thing good out of it. This someone descended from his heavenly home came down to earth, he laid down his life for the world to set all free

from the bondage sin brings. He rose again and ascended back up to heaven, just like he said, but he who has never broken a promise also

written in Hebrews 13:8, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” You see everything else has the tendency of changing, or fail-ing, but the someone I’m talking about is Jesus Christ the Son of God he

GOOD NEWS!

Last week in my Good News article I shared a word about the testimony of a man that was

born blind from birth, as a result of this condi-tion scriptures tell us neighbors and those

around him saw him as a beggar. But one day his blind state and life changed, and not only did

it change his life physically but also within, it also impacted those around him. I’m pretty sure

we all know someone, maybe in our own family that suffers from a similar challenge like this

once blind man. Seeing someone in this condi-tion or something even worse undoubtedly is tough to say the least, watch as I bring up the same question Jesus disciples asked about this blind man written in the second part of, John

9:2 ...”Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he would be born blind ?” Follow me and we

see the negative manifest his good news.

Check out the words of Paul and apostle of Jesus Christ in his letter to the church of

biblical Corinth, Greece. In the New Testament Holy Bible it reads the following words in 2

Corinthians 4:16-18, “Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet

our inner man is being renewed day by day. For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all com-parison, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen;

for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal. Paul

is telling these believers in his letter I know things in this lifetime are hard, but do not give up their is a better tomorrow. Paul in his apos-tolic ministry experienced many hardships, but he realized his hardships served as a testimony

of good news.

Like the story of the man that was blind from birth their are multiple upon multiple of peoples

that at one time was in a similar state. Maybe exactly the same blind from birth, or suffered

from a life threatening disease, or an emotional condition that wearied them down, but one day

their destiny changed.

Question, could it be that your situation is something you have been able to endure so far

to serve as a testimony so that the works of God might be displayed through you? It reads in John 9:1 “As He passed by, He saw a man blind from birth.” The question was raised by his dis-ciples as written in the second part of John 9:2 , ...”Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he would be born blind ?” Interesting an-

swer from Jesus “neither”, Paul understood that all his hardships and trials could produce

results of good news.

Well I do not know about you but when I think of all God the most high God Jehovah has done and is doing in my life I cannot help but to keep telling his good news. You see some of you who read these articles know me personally many

do not, but those that do know me, know that I too was once blind, not physically but spiritu-ally. But one day just like this blind man Jesus

passed by and now I cannot help but say like he did as written in the second part of John 9:25,

...”one thing I do know, that though I was blind, now I see.” A few months ago I made hospital visit, I noticed when sharing his good news

despite the sick state of the patient their spirit lifted when the name of Jesus was sincerely

shared. Family, friend, Jesus wants to pass by in your worse of conditions to help you also say,

now I see, and give you a testimony to share, good news.

Characteristics of Love

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE “Now these three remain: faith, hope and love.

But the greatest of these is love.” (1 Corinthians 13:13, NIV)

Spiritual maturity isn’t measured by how long you’ve been a Christian, how much you know, or how often you go to church. Spiritual ma-turity is measured by the way you treat other people. It’s measured by the love you allow to operate through you. First Corinthians 13 tells us about the characteristics of love. One characteristic is that it is not rude. That means, when we are walking in love, we treat other people with courtesy and respect. Are you courteous to other people? Are you kind to the person at the checkout counter that may be moving too slowly for you? Are you gentle when you are driving down the high-way and someone cuts you off? Are you patient with your family and coworkers? These are all

ways we show love.

Scripture also tells us that love is patient. It is kind. It does not envy; it is not proud. It is not rude. Love is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love never fails. Notice that these characteristics don’t have any-thing to do with feelings. That’s because love is a choice. You can choose to walk in love toward people even when you don’t feel like it. Today, make the choice to do what is right. Choose today to show kindness and be courte-ous to others. Look for ways to cultivate the greatest thing in your life — love! As you do, you’ll move forward into the life of blessing

God has in store for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me so that I can show love to others. Teach me to be patient and kind and treat others the way You

ness, favor and blessing of God over our lives. When you speak words of faith and promise into your life, you are actually calling out the potential God has

placed inside you.

Your words have the power to propel you into your destiny. So many times, people focus on the nega-

tive things in life. They don’t realize that they have incredible gifts, potential and talents lying dormant, just waiting to be called into action. Speaking nega-

tive words is like dropping an anchor right where you are. But when you begin to declare the blessings and

favor of Almighty God, you’re pulling up that anchor and hoisting your sails. You’re positioning yourself

TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria When David wrote this verse, He was in a very dif-ficult situation. He was actually running for his

life from his very own son who wanted to kill him and take over the throne. Can you imagine?! David

was probably feeling overwhelmed, distraught, heartbroken, betrayed and abandoned. Have you ever felt that way? But notice that David didn’t

just tell the Lord all about his problems. He told the Lord about his faith when he said, “But You,

God, are a shield around me...” David made the choice to focus on God’s goodness no matter what.

We have to remember, circumstances may be tough, but God is working behind the scenes on your

behalf. You may have a difficult relationship, but God is your Restorer today. You may have an over-

whelming need, but God is your Provider today! The doctors may have told you that you have an incurable disease, but God is your Healer today!

Things may look impossible today, BUT WITH GOD, all things are possible! If you’ll keep that con-

stant attitude of faith and victory, you’ll see the hand of God move in your life, and you will experi-

ence the life of victory He has in store for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY Father, thank You for always being faithful and working in my life. Today I open my heart to You
