ATHLETICS NEWS FROM COACH POTOMSKI
Soccer for the lower grades is at Holy Name this Saturday.
Go Eagles!
This was a very unusual Book Fair as Covid-19 restrictions forced us to change many of our favorite Book Fair activities and traditions. Even with the restrictions, the students loved being able to shop at the Book Fair and it was a wonderful way for our students to feel a little sense of normal during these unusual times. Thank you for your sup-port and we look forward to many Covid-free Book Fairs in the future!
Grief Resources Are Available Please contact our guidance counselor
Dr. Kate Wilborn at
We extend our deepest gratitude to the families and friends of the school who have reached out this
week to offer your prayers, condolences and support to us
and to Ms. Brady’s family. We can feel your prayers and we believe
they have carried us through these days. We are especially
grateful to the management team at the Diocese of Orlando who
provided us with a grief support team and will continue to support
us with resources to help us provide a Catholic education to
your beautiful children. We believe that Ms. Brady would want nothing more than for the
Ascension Catholic School legacy of education started by the Sisters
of Mercy to continue on. We know that God’s grace and the
prayers of so many will guide us as we continue in the service that
Ms. Brady devoted her life to. Please continue to pray for Ms.
Brady’s family during this time of great sadness. Thank you and
may God bless you for your kindness.

IMPORTANT NEWS ABOUT OUR ILLNESS AND RETURNING TO SCHOOL
(AFTER AN ABSENCE) POLICIES FOR THIS SCHOOL YEAR
Please take a moment and read the Parent Reference Guide below. This guide from the Diocese of Orlando clearly outlines the policy for students who are ill - when they should remain home and when they can return to school.
Please pay particular attention to column 3 which says that students who complain of ANY of the following symptoms cannot come to school:
If your child complains of ANY ONE of these symptoms during the school day, we must send them home. They will not be able to return to school until they have a medical doctor’s note clearing them to return
OR a negative Covid test. Please communicate with your children that our clinic policies are very strict this year. If a student comes to the clin-ic complaining of any of these symptoms, we must follow the Diocesan rules. We realize that most symptoms will not turn out to be Covid-19, but we appreciate your support in helping us keep our entire community of students and staff
healthy. If you have any questions, please call the office. Thank you!
