The Voce 5.1k is the direct successor of the popular LRx 5.1k model. With an elegant shape due to the combination of subtle colouring and high stability, it definitely follows the aesthetics of the high-end Thesis line.According to the manufacturer, a Voce owner should be satisfied with inferior performance, but Elettromedia has stated that it has made an extra effort to perfect equalization.Naturally, this remains to be seen , because if the new Italian unit really makes better music than the excellent sounding LRx 5.1k then we have a Highlight of the year in front of us. First of all, let’s get down to some serious facts: There is little space under the cover. This was to be expected, however, because this amplifier has four front channels plus a bass. When something complicated is made, space is needed. Therefore, Audison decided to carefully convert the channels, optimizing them in comparison to the circuit diagram for localized application.In the end, they arrived at a perfect amp to power a fully active frontal system plus subwoofer. The first two channels are less powerful but they were converted according to a more advanced Class A technology. This suggests the use of tweeters since on the one hand they need less power and on the other they particularly benefit from this circuit diagram that consumes power but is preferable on the sound level.Class A is achieved thanks to the high quiescent current, or clean operating point, far from the non-linear area on the transistor, where amplification can operate with very low distortion.
Plus, the crossover distortions are reduced to a minimum.However, there are also disadvantages: Class A amplifiers consume a lot due to their constantly high quiescent current, even when silent. Two Class A/B channels are available with a power of over 160 watt that can there-fore perform some intensive tasks such as supply the door speakers. For the bass, the Class D mono channel is in the centre with large coils that recreate the analog output voltage of the PWM signal. Needless to say, these are also rather generous in size since through these coils the output signal reaches the subwoofer at an extremely strong power of up to 900 watt.This performance is sufficient for the entire range below the sound pressure level and there-fore perfectly adequate for every situation. As you can see, for each amplifier operating area, Audison has the perfect design. The Voce 5.1k is very sturdy and capable of easily supplying the front speakers and subwoofers by itself, offering great sound potential.
The Voce amplifier is full of resources. Definitely, with five channels, including a powerful bass channel!

The ideal path: the already processed digital signal enters from the processor
The processor "bit Ten D" has all the facilities that you need for sound processing. It can manage both analog and digital signals via TOSLINK and can handle these!
The equipment is perfect for those who want to set up channels: The high pass and low pass filters can be adjusted exactly in the frequency ranges needed for the particular operating area and is also available in the high level 5.1 function that can be used directly on the original radio.So, it is just about everything you could want from a cutting edge amplifier, but it goes the extra mile in the accessories catalog. Here you can find the “AV bit IN” input module that replaces the analog inputs and filters. Why should you do this? Well, the signal transmis-sion field, up to now, often was lacking the absolute consistent path.There are definitely many processors, but often the sound potential is wasted with overly frequent conversions. Let’s imagine that the processor is supplied with an analog signal. To use its signal processing, the signal is first digitized and subsequently processed. At the end of this process there is another rapid D/A conversion to send another signal to be ampli-fied back to the amplifiers. However, with every conversion, errors occur that affect the sound.So you have every right to be angry that despite the cost and the high quality of the
components, part of the melody falls by the wayside, even though in most cases
three conversions are taking place (one in the main unit and two in the
processor).For this reason, Audison decided to leave the signal until right before the control of the amplifier in digital form and thus perform only a single conversion.To do this you need to have a primary unit with a digital output, but this is now possible.But, be careful: Dolby Digital does not allow this processor. Those who wish to watch films must use Stereo PCM. This ensures that the signal is digital up until right before amplifi-cation, rather than going through several conversion processes before arriving at the amplifier. Plus, a digital signal is immune to disturbances, which is very advantageous in a modern car with hundreds of wires that could cause interference with the audio signal.The Italian company specifically resolves it this way: The digital signal runs in bit Ten D, then is processed as needed and from there it is sent, still in its digital state, to the “AV bit IN” digital board.This ensures a very clear signal is sent to the amplifier and then processed only there before its final destination. Naturally, the processor has all of the options of a modern DSP.The 32-bit Cirrus Logic processor effortlessly manages the crossovers of separate channels, the 32-band equalizer and, thanks to its speed, allows runtime corrections in 0.02 ms steps.All settings are performed on the computer, saved and then you’re done. It receives its preferably digital input signal (from the MOST Audison DA1 interface for example), analog through RCA or directly from the speaker termi-nals of a radio from an original equipment producer.Disequalization is performed and adds up the channels semi-automatically through PC software or using a special CD that provides the necessary reference signals. Communica-tion with the amplifiers is done using the classic method through RCA. Now with the Voce 5.1k we are once again on the digital path through the CAT5 connection that here is known as AD Link.
The PCM data is only extracted and converted in the amplifier. This small signal terminal was carefully created especially for this advanced concept. For D/A audio conversion, Elettrome-dia leaves nothing to chance. In fact, it uses excellent DAC chips. All in all there are six Wolfson 8728 in mono mode. This integrated-circuit DAC is dedicated to receiving PCM data and has digital volume control. From a sound point of view, it is a truly excellent solution. In this manner, it ensures that every digital audio channel supplied by bit Ten passes in its DAC finds the best possible conditions.

Thanks to the “digital board” and the special bit Ten D processor, it is one of the most currently consistent concepts that preserves the purity of the audio single in a more authentic manner than has ever been seen before and was ever possible in a car.
