Welcome at the Vigil Mass, Rev Fr D Healy (based at St John of the Cross, Twechar). Fr Joe is involved at a family wedding.

Finance Last weekend’s Second Collection was for Let the Children Live & the work of Fr Peter Walters. Fr Walters is the founder of Let the Children Live (based in Medellin, Colombia). Aim: street children & poor families in the shanty towns and rescue children & offer opportunities of a better life through education which can be the exit out of their material poverty. It raised £3,900 (Gift Aid brings the total to £4,413). See Letter in Porch. Well done to those who were able to support financially this work.

This weekend & next, the Second Collection will help pay for the Re-pointing. Would parishioners please consider organising other Fund-raising efforts to pay of the Pointing so the Second Collection can stop sooner. How about Monday Night Bingo until Christmas… or…? After the outside work is completed & paid for, the inside will be addressed.

Flowers for the Altar Well done the Anonymous Donors of £10 and £20.

If interested hand in Name, Contact Details, Number of Copies & preferred format (DVD or USB) to the Chapel House; cost still to be finalised but proceeds will help pay firstly for the Miners’ Lamps/ 12 Pillars/ Apostles (& then 60th Banner). A few copies will soon be on sale in the Piety Stall. Well done to those who produced these Initiatives!

The Archbishop recently wrote Dear Fr Joe, The Mass for the 60th Anniversary and Consecration of the Church of Holy Cross was really uplifting and joyful. I enjoyed the liturgy and my interaction with the parishioners… Kindest wishes, +Philip
