New Banner for Bell Tower, designed by Garry McCann, his inspiration comes from the 4th Station of the Cross: Jesus meets his Blessed Mother. Our Lady is included by means of the 7 Daggers or Sorrows in her Immaculate Heart. The miner represents the founding history of the Parish. The youthfulness of the parish is expressed by the small group of figures nearer the top of the Banner... one a Teacher in this Centenary of Catholic Education. Finally the encouraging words are taken from the Sacred Liturgy: "lift up your hearts.” There is an article about this in the Scottish Catholic Observer.

Bereaved of the Past Year The Names of the Deceased whose Funerals took place over the past year (early- October 2017 to late September 2018) from here, will be read out & a candle lit.
