Parish Pastoral Council meets on Monday, 28th January at 7.30pm in the Chapel House. Items for Agenda to Chapel House by next week

Finance Last weekend’s Second Collection for Justice & Peace Issues raised £460. This weekend the Second Collection will be for the Re-pointing. The Quarterly Collection raised £120 for the Ecclesiastical Students’ Fund.

Crib Donations fund St Margaret Children & Family Care Society- helps couples to adopt, foster & support children. If you would like to apply to be considered as an adoptive/ fostering parent, contact the Society at 274 Bath St, 0141- 332 8371 or try www. stmargaretsadoption.org.uk. Please hand in any Donation Boxes asap. The Crib will be taken down but the Nativity Banner will remain until the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord (2nd February).

World Day for Peace The Peace Candle, which was blessed at the Service will remain at the Altar Rails during January. It may well be lit during each Mass. The (Blessed) Wreath

of Peace rests at the Memorial to the Fallen.

Confirmation Enrolment takes place on Saturday 26th / Sunday 27th January. This will take place at the Vigil (6pm), 9.30am and 11.40am Masses. There are Enrolment Forms which should be completed & brought along to the Enrolment Mass. Archbishop Tartaglia wishes 3 Preparation Events to take place at parish level. Therefore at the end of the Enrolment Mass would Parents, Sponsors (if known) & P7 Children wait behind in the Church Building for 30 minutes. Meeting for Parents on Thursday 21st January in Parish Hall, 8- 8.45pm P7 Confirmation.

Confirmation for P7 Pupils at Holy Cross Primary will be on Thursday 21st March at 7pm here. Confirmation for P7 Pupils at St Andrew’s Primary will be on Thursday 28th March at Sacred Heart Parish. Archbishop Tartaglia wishes that P7 Pupils receive the Sacrament of Confirmation according to his planning. However, His Grace has agreed that for particular reasons there may be some changes, see Fr Joe.

Meetings for Parents on Monday 21st January in Parish Hall. 6.30- 7.15pm for P3 Reconciliation (Confession); 7.15-8pm for P4 First Holy Communion; 8- 8.45pm for P7 Confirmation.

Bereavement Group meets on Tuesday 22nd January at 7.30pm. New members willing to join Group will be made especially welcome.

Working with Young people Archdiocesan Youth Team and Canon Tartaglia invite us to discuss efforts to engage with young people. Tuesday, 5th February 7 – 8pm at Curial Offices, Clyde St. Anyone willing & able to represent this parish, please see Fr Joe asap.

Registration Children who will have reached the age of 5 years between 1st March 2019 and 28th Feb 2020, should be registered for education (August 2019). Parents are asked to bring along their child’s Birth Certificate and must bring ‘Proof of Address’ in the form of the current Council Tax bill. Where appropriate, the child’s Baptism Certificate may be produced at this point. Placing requests are considered but are not guaranteed.
