The World Wide Web and availability of gargets has boomed citizen journalism and is altering journalism.
The proliferations of news outlets, blog sites including Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr are creating too much information.
The removal of the gatekeeper role.
Less or in some cases no profit for media institutions.
Who is a journalist? A blogger( World Press), a person who gives information on Facebook and twitter?

Mass connectivity: powerful recent instance, million people retweeted a picture taken by
Academy Awards host Ellen de Generes during the ceremony.
Citizen Journalism promotes interactivity which is healthy for public debates
Accessibility: the defeat of time and space; example a video of the South African Police
brutality caught on camera.
