Episode 5 Traditional Classical Songs & Pop Yeh Yeh by Awalliyah Arts Repertoire Theatre & Roselan Yus & BTrack

This episode will feature snippets of Traditional Malay Classical songs and will showcase Pop Yeh Yeh, a traditional Asli styled group inspired by British Pop and Rock Music. As Geylang Serai was a hub for Pop Yeh Yeh, this will be an opportunity to bring the Pop Yeh Yeh generation to the online realm.

Episode 7 Kompang & Hadrah by PEHAKS

Singapore Hadrah & Kompang Association, based in Kampong Ubi CC will present a traditional performance of Kompang & Hadrah. There will also be a short feature of Geylang Serai Hadrah group led by Pak Chut.

The programme will be hosted by Awalliyah Jaafar & Hafidz Rahman.

Imperfect Family Recipe by Ageless Theatre | Presented by Kallang Community Club

What is a perfect recipe for family? Love, empathy, care, time, a chicken. What constitutes an imperfect family recipe? Livelihood, health concerns, lack of synchronicity of time, a chicken.

Three generations. Three phases of life. Three differing expectations. And one chicken. The play explores intergenerational relations of a family. Grandmother, lacking in health, yearns for a taste of soya sauce chicken she used to prepare for the family. Mother is drained as the care giver and has not learnt the family recipe. Grandchild is emotionally blackmailed while frantically pursuing a career to provide for the family. Chicken is the only hopeful salvation for the family, or is it?
