CONSIDER JOINING LC's SCHOOL BOARD COMMISSION Being involved in the School Board Commission (SBC) is a great way to learn more about our school, where we're headed, and how we're getting there. The SBC concerns itself with
planning and executing policies in the areas of faith formation, budget, technology, communications, evaluation, curriculum, and development. If you have an interest and/or
experience in any of these areas, please consider joining this commission. We meet monthly in the evening, typically on the 2nd Thursday of the month. Please contact Joe Cesarz or any of our current board members. More information is available on the school website under Current
Families/School Board Commission, or join us for our next meeting on Thursday, June 13th at 6:30pm.
RAINBOW OLYMPICS IS TUESDAY, MAY 21 Please remember that drop off and pick up is at the Mequon campus for Rainbow Olympics. For drop off instructions and more details, please refer to the flyer and map in the Thursday folder.
Your kids will be bringing home their “team” assignment this week. This is a great day for everyone! There will be an All School Mass at 8:30 prior to the start of Rainbow Olympics. There will not be regular school Masses on Wednesday in Thiensville or Thursday in Mequon
since the students will have Mass together on Tuesday. Mass will still be said for the parishioners.
LAST CALL FOR BOX TOPS AND CAMPBELL’S SOUP LABELS Clean out the pantry for summer! Tear off those box tops so they aren’t floating around all summer. Box tops and Campbell’s soup labels will be collected in the classrooms the last two
weeks of May. Thanks for helping our school!
SHAMROCK NEEDS YOU!! Shamrock 2013 was a huge success thanks to ALL of the volunteers who helped! Planning for next year will begin on Wednesday May 22 at 7:00PM in St. James Hall. If you are
interested in learning more about open committee positions, please be sure to attend! Shamrock is a great way to get involved and meet other parents while helping to support our school. It really is amazing to be part of such a great event!!
“GIVE BACKS” FOR MAY On Tuesday, May 21 Nines at River Club will donate 10% of all dinner sales from 5:00-9:00pm with the mention of Lumen Christi.
VOLUNTEER NEEDED TO PROVIDE TRACTOR/WAGON FOR PARADE Lumen Christi Catholic School has traditionally participated in the Family Fun Before the Fourth
Parade. This year the parade will be on June 29th at 10:00am. We are in need of a volunteer with a tractor and hay wagon to help us show off our school spirit! If you are able to help, please contact Laura Rowe at 262-512-8996 or [email protected]. Thank you very
much.
