quality culture in Romania
We have contributed to the realization of the first set of standards and guidelines
We select applicant students using a set of standards and procedures and we train students in order to perform a further external evaluations.
We have represented the student’s perspective in ARACIS evaluation made by ESU and ENQA
We are participating in European Quality Assurance Forum
Involving students in quality assurance
students are more then ever aware of what they need
students have a fundamental interest
the quality of their education affects their academic development and professional careers
the quality of their education determines their future lives
the process of QA is more effective if students are
involved

Main Conclusions
Students tend not to be regarded as equal partners in educational and decision-making structures
Not all the universities in Romania involve students in QA departments – 12% of the HEI don’t involve students in internal QA process
Only 10% of the QA Departments focus on research on social dimension regarding students
In over 70% of universities students are not involved in any way in curriculum design
• In 75% HEIs -> Psychology Services, of which < 40 % seem to reach their objectives
• Adaptation of the teaching methods (<50% changed their teaching styles and instruments for SCL improvement)
• Organizations consider that ECTS was implemented just formally
National level
Improvements regarding students’ feedback on QA & review teams
improvement on students training in QA domain
Need for better understanding of QA
Students should be full and equal members of the ARACIS Council and other relevant bodies of ARACIS.
