Exlabesa Extrusion OpoleA key point in the center of Europe
Exlabesa chose Tulowice, a city in the south-west of the country and located 30 minutes from Opole, with a view to create an efficient center to Central and Eastern European markets. Moreover, Poland has and advantageous location on the European continent, as well as an excellent infrastructure.
Exlabesa was founded in Poland in 2008 on the site of a pottery factory which produced tableware for the Polish market. The company is an important employer for the Tulowice community and Opole.
The factory covers 17 000 m2 and was re-purposed for aluminum extrusion production, with two extrusion presses, launching in 2010, as well as a paintline and an anodising centre which were commissioned in 2013.

ExtrusionTailor-made projects
Aluminium extrusion is a mechanical process consisting of the transformation of large solid blocks of various alloys into long profiles of a defined cross-section.
The raw material is heated and pressed by a plunger through a hardened steel matrix with a central orifice that corresponds to the shape of the resulting profile. Subsequent to this process, the drawing, cutting and cooling tasks are carried out, necessary to obtain the characteristics of resistance and rigidity of the final product.
Exlabesa Extrusion Opole currently has 2 aluminium extrusion presses, ranging from 16 to 35 MN, capable of running extrusions up to 17 200 mm in length and the capacity to produce 13 000 MT per year.

AnodisingSurface treatment
Anodising is an electrochemical process of forced oxidation, by means of which aluminium forms a protective layer of aluminium oxide (Al2O3) on the surface of the base aluminium of variable thickness from 5 microns to 25 microns in protective anodising and up to 100 microns in hard anodising.
The aluminium profile is transported through a circuit which includes several washing processes, pre-treatments to improve it mechanically, the oxidation itself, coloration also by electrolysis and sealing.
Anodising gives the profile special protection against humidity and dust, increases its hardness and resistance to abrasion, wear and corrosion, while giving it an aesthetic finish in a multitude of colours.
Our production center is equipped with an anodising plant of 20 000 amps backed by the Qualanod quality certificate. We are able to anodise profiles up to 7000 mm long in linish finishing and in different types of colours. Our annual production capacity in anodising is 3000 Tm of profile.

Machining and weldingPrecision cutting, CNC and welding
The machining process consists of using the appropriate machinery to, taking advantage of the malleability of aluminium, mould it into a desired final shape by removing material by cutting or abrasion.
We have 3 machining centres with an accuracy of ±2 mm and a maximum length of 8000 mm profile that allow us to perform many types of machining: die-cutting, milling, deburring, vibrating, precision cutting, countersunk, plasticizing, threading, and so on.
These capacities give us great versatility when machining all types of profiles on the one hand, and maximum manufacturing precision on the other.
