IMPORTANT:
You are now REQUIRED to complete the section entitled “Volunteer Mobilization” as part of your monthly timesheets.
All MSS members will be responsible for filling this out, regardless of whether you have chosen volunteer mobilization or community service as your focus.
In addition, you must complete this process for your past months of service.
• Definition:Volunteer Mobilization is the active recruitment of individuals to perform community service. Recruiting additional volunteers to participate in a service project, event, program, etc…
• What to track:– # of volunteers recruited– # of hours served by recruited volunteers
Example: While serving as a tutor for the local elementary school, you recruit five other friends to tutor for an afternoon as well. The five students, and the hours they serve tutoring for your program would all be reported in the Volunteer Mobilization section in OnCorps.
