These meetings will serve to inform parents of the course selection timeline, allow them to meet the advising staff, make changes to the courses their students chose during our visit, and have their questions about Lamar academics addressed by our knowledgeable staff. Parents need only attend one meeting as the second meeting is an attempt to meet with parents who were not able to attend the first meeting. The Rogers Lady Rams Basketball-Had a tough opponent against their neighborhood rivals, Tanglewood. 7th grade lost but had a tough presence defensive the whole game. The 8th grad- ers had a close game , with the deciding factors of missed oppor- tunities on offense resulting in a loss. Kasay Lyons provided tough interior defense while Amy Jun and Sonya Keswani ran the offense. Boys Basketball-The 7 th and 8 th grade Boys Basketball Team fell to Tanglewood in both games last Thursday. For the 8 th grade boys outstanding players were Broderick Johnson and Owen Zhang, For the 7 th grade, outstanding players were Sebastian Le, John Heyburn, Noah M, Rohan M, and Pranav! The Week Of January 29 Thru February 2-Elementary students will be participating in HISD’s 1 st annual college week. The students will be learning about the various aspects of college during this week long celebration. Students will also participate in special dress days during the week. Las Niñas Rams~Tuvieron una batalla pesada contra sus vecinos rivales, Tanglewood. 7º grado aun que perdieron, mantuvieron una defensa fuerte durante todo el juego. Las de 8º grado tuvieron un juego muy cerca, pero las oportuni-dades perdidas resultaron en una perdida. Kasay Lyons presento una defensa fuerte en el interior mientras que Amy Jun y Sonya Keswani manejaron bien la ofensa.

La semana del 29 de Enero al 2 de Febrero~ Los alumnos de primaria participaran en el nuevo evento anual de HISD Semana de Colegio. Los alumnos aprenderán sobre los varios aspectos de colegio durante esta celebración que se llevara a cabo toda la semana. Los alumnos también participaran en días especiales de vestimento.

Lunes: Alsamos nuestros gorros para la educación colegial. Alumnos usan gorros.

Martes: Tengo grandes Suenos. Alumnos usan piya-mas.

Miercoles: Mi futuro esta reluciente. Alumnos usan colores florecentes o lentes para el sol.

Jueves: Dia de Carrera. Los alumnos se vestirán para su futura carrera.

Viernes: Dia de Espiritu Colegial. Alumnos usaran camisetas de su colegio de preferencia o los colores de su colegio.

Padres por favor tomen este tiempo para hablar con sus alumnos sobre las oportunidades para atender el colegio.

Padres de alumnos de 8º en la zona de la Preparatoria Lamar~ Por favor estén en aviso que las juntas de información se llevaran a cabo el 27 de Febrero y el 6 de Marzo del presente en la Cafetería de Lamar.

Estas juntas servirán como información para los padres sobre la selección de cursos, presentarán la oportunidad para conocer a la facultad, podrán hacer cambios a los cursos que sus alumnos escogieron durante nuestra visita, y la oportunidad de hacer preguntas sobre la Preparatoria Lamar y la academia que ofrece. Padres solamente necesitan asistir a la primera junta, la segunda junta es solo para los padres que no pudieron asistir a la primera junta.
