  • Implementation Standing Technical Committee (I-STC)

Led by the Building America Retrofit Alliance (BARA) Team

Co-Chairs: Deane Evans, NJIT, and Stacy Hunt, Confluence Communications

  • I-STC Vision and Mission • Vision: To be the trusted source of R&D results, defining and delivering

reliable, cost-effective systems that reduce residential energy use by 30-50%.

    • Mission: To identify specific process gaps and barriers that must be addressed for Building America (BA) and its project participants to successfully:

    – Develop system solutions that successfully target key stakeholder needs.

    – Develop integrated quality assurance/quality control approaches that minimize risks.

    – Develop a residential efficiency knowledge base that is a trusted source of information and is accessible to all key stakeholders.

  • I-STC Draft Strategic Plan Development Process

    • September 2011

    – Develop draft of priorities based on previous I-STC meetings and aggregate gaps from 2010 and 2011 REE Stakeholder and Technical Update meetings.

    – Conduct initial prioritization activity with I-STC mailing list members.

    • October 2011

    – Develop draft strategic plan for REE Research Planning Meeting.

    • November/December 2011

    – Conduct prioritization activity based on draft strategic plan.

    – Review current BA team projects and their relation to priorities.

    – Finalize I-STC Strategic Plan and management process for 2012.
