ImpactManager: EDM Upload Quick Start Guide
Uploading a Data File In this Quick Start Guide, were going to upload a data file using the EDM upload option of the Impact Manager component of ImpactOnDemand™, process and accept the data upload, and then build a cube to display Policy Premiums and Location Limit grouped by Construction, State, and Line of Business.
01. Click the Impact Manager icon on your desktop.
Enter your user name and password.
Click the Login button.
02. If you have access to more than one company, click the Company pull-down menu, and select one.
Click the Dataset pull-down menu, and select one.
Click the OK button.
03. The Welcome To Impact Manager screen displays.
Click on New Portfolio button.

04. The Choose Data Source Type screen displays.
01. Select EDM
02. Click the Next button.
05. The EDM Data Source screen displays.
01. Select the server name from the Server name pull-down menu.
02. Choose an appropriate authentication type, and click the Connect button.
06. Select the EDM database from the pull-down menu, and click the Next button.
07. This window displays a list of portfolios available in an EDM.
Select the desired portfolio’s check box, and click the Next button.

08. Click the As Of Date pull-down menu, and select the exposure date.
Click the Peril pull-down menu, and select one.
Select or clear the Exclude locations without policy and Add thematic shading for nonUSA check boxes as required.
Click the Next button.
09. On completion of data processing, the Log window displays the following status message:
Completed! Click Next to Proceed
Click the Next button.
10. AAL can be included where available by selecting the Add AAL check box.
Click the RDM database pull-down menu, and select the relevant RDM.
Select the desired Loss Analysis check box from the grid, and click the Next button.
11. On completion of data processing, the Log window displays the following status message:
Completed! Click Next to Proceed
Click the Next button.

12. AAL for a specific loss scenario can be included where available by selecting the Add AAL Scenario check-box.
Click the RDM database pull-down menu, and select the relevant RDM
Click the Next button to proceed.
13. On completion of data processing, the Log window displays the following status message:
Completed! Click Next to Proceed
Click the Next button.
14. High level numbers are available for validation.
Once the numbers look good, click the Next button to proceed.

15. Enter a view name and description.
Select the Overwrite view on server if exists check box to overwrite th view on server if it exists.
Select the Create Cube check box to create a cube.
Click the Template pull-down menu, and select one.
Enter a name for the cube.
Select the Overwrite if exists check box to overwrite the cube on the server if it exists.
Click the Finish button.
16. The data upload progress displays on the Uploads tab.
Creating a Cube with the Uploaded and Approved Data
01. Click the Business Intelligence button.

02. Click the New Cube button, and select the data sample that we just uploaded and approved from the window that displays.
Click the Next button.
03. Drag the following fields to the Dimensions section as shown in the image: • AddrMatchCode • Construction • State • LOB • County
04. Drag the following fields to the Measures section as shown in the image: • TIV • LocationLimit
Click the Next button.

05. Enter a name for the new cube.
Select any of the following check box(es) • Overwrite cube on server if exists • Send request immediately
Click the Finish button.
07. The data upload progress displays on the Uploads tab.
