ThyssenKrupp Fördertechnikimpact crushers have an operating range which includesboth coarse and fine crushing.
They crush medium-hard tohard material and are particularly applied in caseswhere a high size-reductionratio and cubical, stress-freeend-product are required:for the reduction of limestone,gypsum, slag, overburden andaggregate materials.

To optimize the efficiency of the crushing processThyssenKrupp Fördertechnikdeveloped a high performancecast rotor. Single standardizedcast disc are combined on onemain shaft according to therequired width of the rotor. The advanced rotor discs maximize the moment of inertiaof the rotor resulting in a highcrushing efficiency of theThyssenKrupp FördertechnikImpact Crusher.The discs are fixed by clampingdevices and are not weldedtogether allowing to change the side discs separately (only available fromThyssenKrupp Fördertechnik).An exchange of the entire rotordue to wear at the side faces isno longer required anymore.

ThyssenKrupp FördertechnikImpact Crusher are equippedwith extra large blow bars offering a high wear volume. In addition the shape of therotor and the blow bars are optimized to achieve with oneset of the extremely wear resistant blow bars a designwear volume of up to 50%. To attain this high design wearvolume the blow bars only haveto be turned once. A step bystep lifting of the blow bar is notrequired anymore resulting in ahigh availability and a reduceddowntime for maintenance. The blow bars are clamped tothe rotor by hydraulic wedgesallowing a quick and easychanging of the blow bars. In combination with the quickrelease bolts of the housing andthe rotor positioning and blowbar changing device one set ofblow bars can be turned orcompletely changed in less thanone shift. Due to this enhancedmaintenance concept in combination with the low investment costs theThyssenKrupp FördertechnikImpact Crusher can today beoperated extremely economi-cally even in abrasive materials.

To meet the problem of havinguncrushable material like e.g.tramp iron in the feed material,ThyssenKrupp FördertechnikImpact Crusher are equippedwith an effective overload protection by combining thegrinding path and the lowerimpact wall. As soon as anoverload occurs at the lowerimpact wall, the supportingcylinder is released and the gapbetween impact wall and therotor is widened. At the sametime the grinding path is alsomoved backwards because it isfixed to the impact wall.Therefore the gap between rotorand grinding path is openedbefore the tramp iron passesthrough and damages are effectively minimised or avoided. After discharging the uncrushable material to the discharge conveyor, thehydraulic cylinders move theimpact wall and the grindingpath back to the former position.Beside the efficient protection ofthe crusher also the down-stream process can be savedby this system. Every time anoverload occurs the dischargebelt conveyor is stopped at adefined position allowing to takeout the disturbing tramp pieces.

The impact walls and the grinding path of theThyssenKrupp FördertechnikImpact Crusher are adjustedhydraulically. In addition thelower impact wall and the grinding path are pretensionedby robust hydraulic cylinders.By these cylinders the gapbetween rotor, impact walls andgrinding path can be adjustedlocally or by the main controlallowing to produce differentproducts with one crusher.Therefore it is possible to crusheither limestone for the rawmaterial mills (0-80mm) or high grade limestone for thecement mills (0-35mm) withone crusher without time-consuming modifications.Another advantage of thissophisticated pretensioning system is the infinitely variablegap adjustment to equalizewear of the blow bars and wearplates of the impact wall andgrinding path. This systemsmakes sure that the crushinggap and therefore also theproduct size remains constant.
