Our Schools Apprenticeship programme is going from strength to strength across the East Midlands. Our apprentices have been placed in a variety of primary schools, working along side teaching staff to compliment on-going learning.

One of the Head Teachers, David Baldwin explained that his apprentice rapidly became an integral part of the teaching and learning processes at Goodteam. His apprentice Mark, even got a mention in their ‘outstanding’ Ofsted report!

Some great news for one of our apprentices, Mark Chalkley has been selected to visit America on a two week scholarship programme to further develop his Football coaching skills, Well done Mark!

Hello and welcome to the Spring issue of Fresh Press - Our News.

It’s been a very busy few months for everyone here at IMPACT and we have some great stories to update you with!

Our official launch event took place towards the end of last year and was a huge success. Minister of State for Further Education, Skills and Lifelong Learning, John Hayes, MP, presented his thoughts on Apprenticeships and expressed how pleased he was to see an Australian company with an extremely positive record in Apprentice training investing within the UK! John Hayes, MP, credited us with the inspirational views that IMPACT are taking and believed that the Agency approach was adding real value to employers and apprentices, whilst seeding growth! The event was well attended by companies across the UK.

As we grow IMPACT we are meeting some fabulous companies and have some very exciting campaigns planned for the forthcoming months. Here’s a sneak preview of our next two campaigns!

Three of our sports apprentices have been looking at new ways of inspiring the children in the schools where they are placed. They have planned a series of activities with some of the UK’s top Basketball players!

Beth Harris and Andrew Wilson have arranged for Jamell Anderson, GB U23 captain, Leicester Riders and Loughborough College Scholar to visit Mountfields Lodge, Elizabeth Woodville and Martinshaw Primary school to provide encouraging and motivating advice at the school assemblies.

Whilst Jordan McIlwraith at Broom Leys, arranged for Drew Sullivan, GB and Leicester Riders Captain not only to speak with students but to help with some coaching tips!
