The Most Holy Body & Blood of Christ_______ JUNE 23, 2019
Fr. Carlo’s Pills of Faith Pope Francis says:
“Corpus Christi is the celebration of Jesus who is broken for us. And he asks us to give our-selves, to break ourselves, as it were, for others. I think of many mothers and fathers who, to-gether with the slices of bread they provide each day on the tables of their homes, have broken their hearts to let their children grow, and grow well!
Many Christian as responsible citizens have broken their own lives to defend the dignity of all, especially the poorest, the marginalized and those discriminated against! Where do they find the strength to do this?
It is in the Eucharist: in the power of the Risen Lord’s love, who today too breaks bread for us and repeats: ‘Do this in remembrance of me.’ This beautiful miracle allows ourselves to make sacrifices and to be broken for the good of others.”
Let us pray,
Soul of Christ, sanctify me. Body of Christ, save me.
Blood of Christ, inebriate me. Water from the side of Christ, wash me.
Passion of Christ, strengthen me. O good Jesus, hear me.
Within Thy wounds, hide me. Separated from Thee let me never be.
From the malignant enemy, defend me. At the hour of death, call me.
To come to Thee, bid me, That I may praise Thee in the company
Of Thy Saints, for all eternity.
Amen. May Jesus Christ be blessed and adored in the Holy Sacrament of the Altar, now and forever
