    BISHOP’S ANNUAL APPEAL

    Our results as of September 23 are:

    IHM goal $41,369; $35,757 collected to date which is 86%.

    The offering for Sept 21/22: $2304.00

    There are a wide variety of CD’s available in the entryway to the church. There is something for everyone - Adults, Teens, and Children! Topic include Conversion Stories, Evangelization, Church Teaching, Prayer, Suffering, Sacraments and the Blessed Mother, as well as information on Marriage, Family, and the Culture of Life. A donation of $3.00 is suggested to cover the cost.

    IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT POSITION This position offers clerical support and assistance for the parish office. The individual is expected to maintain a welcoming and helpful atmosphere by providing exceptional customer service to the pastor, priest(s), employees, board members, departments and visitors. The individual frequently works with sensitive or confidential material; which requires an individual with tact, integrity and the ability to maintain absolute confidentiality. The parish administrative assistant must exercise appropriate initiative and judgment in working independently and with a team.

    The Saint Nicholas Project is visiting IHM! Founded by Fr. Lance W. Harlow in 2015, the Saint Nicholas Project's goal is to raise awareness of and increase support for the boys and girls at the Kurn Hattin Homes for Children, a K-8 residential care facility for children at risk from troubled homes. We will have an informational table and light refreshments available for you after Mass on Sunday, September 29th, 2019. The kids need you! Please stop by and learn about Kurn Hattin Homes and find out how you can help children from families in distress right here in Vermont! THANK YOU!

    Eucharistic Mission at St. Mark Parish—Postponed We've postponed this mission. The Missionaries of the Most Holy Eucharist coordinator contacted us to cancel the event due to delay in Fr. Declan's visa (he is from Ireland). We are planning to reschedule the event, and will let you know the new dates. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this change. Originally scheduled for September 28th through October 1st.

    LIFE CHAIN in Burlington - Sunday October 6, 2-3 PM: Annually, on the first Sunday in October, LIFE CHAIN invites the churches in each city across North America to stand and pray for an hour while holding prolife signs that will be provided.     HELP SAVE LIVES IN BURLINGTON From September 25 through November 3, you’re invited to join other Christians for 40 Days for Life – 40 days of prayer and fasting for an end to abortion.     HAM DINNER St. Mary's Church in Cambridge will be hosting their Annual Ham Dinner on Sunday, October 6th. Baked ham will be served along with raisin sauce, potatoes,squash, coleslaw and rolls. Treat yourself, after dinner, to a generous slice of homemade pie. Dinner will be served at 12 noon and again at 1 pm. Adults $12, children 6-12 $5, no charge for children 5 and under.     Maggie Eisenbarth, the new Diocesan Respect Life Coordinator, is asking for a volunteer from each parish to serve as the liaison between the parish and the diocese. This person, from each parish, would be the person Maggie would reach out to with bulletin announcements, ready-made materials and ideas. If you are a person who is concerned for the voiceless, the underserved and the hopeless, Maggie would like to meet you.     Joseph’s House Burlington Vermont (an outreach of St. Joseph’s Cathedral) has been having difficulty meeting the needs of the people who come to them for help. Members of the LOTW community are sponsoring a “Personal Care Drive” to help them out. The three items that they are most in need of are: shampoo, dish detergent, and laundry detergent. Other items they give out are toothbrushes, toothpaste, bar soap & shaving cream. Drop off boxes will be available in both churches during September. Thank you!
