Little Shop of Horrors
George Bailey (Orin) What can be said that hasn’t already been said about two-time Jebby Award loser? A prince among men; George is
currently the road manager of Columbus Children’s Theatre touring troupe. He got his start in middle school theatre and has continued flexing his acting muscles with Curtain Players, Pleasure Guild, Emerald City Players, and the outdoor dramas Johnny Appleseed and Blue Jacket. He is an award-winning songwriter with his band, Man Mobile, bringing home the gold with The Ballad of Spoony Joe from the Columbus 48 Hour Film Festival. He is never not satisfied at any point in life and one night, he ate a whole pie by himself.
Samara Baptist (Chiffon) is happy to be part of another Imagine production. You may have seen her recently as Ronny in Hair. Samara has done a
lot of shows in Columbus and NYC some including Seussical with CCT and LTOB, Aida with LTOB, Ragtime at Revision, and more. Samara would like to thank God for the strength, talent, and love for the theatre, and all of her friends and family for their support. Loves!
Randy Benge (Mr. Mushnik) has performed regionally and in the Columbus area for many years and is more than happy to reprise Mr. Mushnik
with his favorite Seymour, Patrick, in this
new and interesting venue. From sinking the Titanic with Ashley and Allison to enjoying cheese with George, it has been a reunion to remember! Thanks to all who have helped to make this a fun show from beginning to end! As always, thanks to my wonderful family, Mary, Sara, Rachel and Kyle, our actual son (in law). Beware the plant! Even if it seems new and interesting ;)
Cassandra Cardenas (Assistant Chorographer) is a graduate of Otterbein University where she minored in Dance. Cassandra has been choreographing since high school and was thrilled to come back to Imagine and help with Little Shop. Her previous Imagine choreography credits include Spring Awakening and Chicago. Cassandra would like to thank Ryan and the entire Imagine team for allowing her to help out with this amazing production. Merde!
Zac DelMonte (Music Director) is excited to be joining Imagine for the third time, having played Corny Collins in Hairspray and
music directed Rent. Zac has worked on a number of shows as music director / conductor, including Pippin, All Shook Up, Next to Normal, Bare: A Pop Opera, Rent, and others, and has been seen onstage in a variety of musical theater and opera roles. He would like to thank the cast and crew for their hard work and Kelsey for her constant support. Break legs!!
Sharon Kibe (Ronette) is so excited to be part of this, her first show with Imagine! Sharon was last seen as Maria in SRO's production of
The Sound of Music. Some of her favorite roles have been Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls and Jo March in Little Women. Sharon would like to thank her family and close friends for all their love and support.
Andrea Klinker (Crystal) was most recently seen in La Cage Aux Folles (Jacqueline) and in Imagine’s Let’s Duet Together. She is delighted to be in
another fantastic show with Imagine. She is a graduate of Capital University with a BA in Communication and minors in Theatre and Spanish. Some of her favorite performances include The Lady in Question (Gertrude Garnet), Edgar: A Mesmeric Passage into the Life of Edgar Allan Poe (Eleonora) and 9 to 5 (Margaret). During the day, Andrea works at Columbus Children’s Theatre with some of her bestest buds in the world. When not performing, Andrea enjoys taking dance class with Zoe, eating chips and salsa and watching movies with Dan. “Biff, wham, pow!”
Donnie Lockwood (Costume Designer) is honored to be helping out with his first Imagine production and on one of his favorite shows...Little Shop!
He has graced both stage and backstage
for many theaters throughout Columbus acting, costuming, sets...you name it...he's done it!! He has fortunately acquired a long list of shows and theaters he is very proud to be associated with!! A very big THANKS to John for his never ending supply of support and love, the cast for all of their help, Imagine for the wonderful opportunity and YOU...for coming out and supporting live theater!!!
Tom Miller (Assistant Stage Manager) is honored to join Imagine’s production staff to bring you Little Shop of Horrors. Tom has
appeared with Imagine productions as Paul in Hair, Etienne/Francis in La Cage Aux Folles, and Josh Newstead in 9 to 5. He has also been involved with Columbus Children’s Theatre as Robbie Hart in The Wedding Singer, and in the ensembles of Chicago and Rent. Tom attended DePaul University in Chicago, majoring in Theatre Technology. Currently, Tom works for Holiday Inn as a night shift manager. He would like to thank the Hoptons for sparking his love for theatre, and all of his friends and family for their love and support. Enjoy the show, and remember; don’t feed the plants!
Corey Notman (Audrey II) graduated from Capital University in 1999 with a BA in Theatre. He has performed with many companies
throughout Ohio and Michigan, but most recently has been off the stage, directing. His most recent directing venture was Imagine's production of Avenue Q. You
may have seen Corey in several of Imagine's cabarets or singing with the Columbus Gay Men's Chorus. He currently works at BMW Financial Services. Thanks to the cast and staff for such a great experience, and to Mark for bearing with me through this process. Enjoy the show!!!
Jessica Parker (Glam Trio) This is Parker's fourth production with Imagine where she has spread her talents among this stage as Janet in
Rocky Horror, Marjorie in Hair, and in Over The Top 3. Her talents have also overflowed to the sound board and backstage areas with 9 to 5: The Musical and Young Frankenstein. Her day job consists of sitting in an office with a fancy computer but would prefer making a living in entertainment. After all, she did graduate with a Bachelors from Otterbein University's Theater Department in 2012. For now she is very happy to show off for you in this production of Little Shop of Horrors and to wear fancy dresses! Much love to all who is watching tonight!! P.S PLEASE DONT FEED THE PLANTS.
Rob Philpott (Lighting Designer) graduated from The Ohio State University in 2012 with a bachelors in Theatre. He is now a freelance lighting designer who travels the country working on concerts, festivals, plays, and corporate events. In his spare time, he also enjoys acting and is currently working toward his dream of becoming an acrobat for Cirque du Soleil. He is happy to be back for his 4th design with Imagine.
Elena Reinert (Audrey) Reinert family road trips often found the Little Shop soundtrack in the tape deck, so it comes as no
surprise that Elena is thrilled to be Audrey, (though Dad might be most excited!) This is Elena's 4th show with Imagine following ensemble roles in Chicago, La Cage Aux Folles and Rent. Most recently, Elena played Annie in Evil Dead: the Musical at Dark Woods. By day, Elena is in Digital Marketing at Nationwide and is also in the 2015 class of Leadership Columbus. Add in her role as Treasurer of the Board at Short North Stage, and her unlikely pair of Northwestern degrees in Musical Theater and an MBA have been put to good use! Thanks to Imagine for the opportunity and her family for traveling to see the show!
Ryan Scarlata (Director/Choreographer) returns to Imagine Productions after having directed 9 to 5 The Musical and appearing as
Albin/Zaza in La Cage Aux Folles. Favorite directing credits include the Off-Broadway and National Tour productions of Berenstain Bears The Musical (Associate Director), RENT, The Producers, Jekyll & Hyde, Beauty and the Beast, A New Brain, Dracula and A Piece of My Heart. Ryan is currently the Education Director at Columbus Children’s Theatre and a member of the board of trustees at Imagine Productions.
Rachael Scott (Glam Trio) is so excited to be making her debut with Imagine. Rachael has worked with many theater companies in Columbus such as
Pleasure Guild, Columbus Children's Theater, and Little Theater Off Broadway. Recently she worked as a metaperformer at Shadowbox Live where she performed in Scrooge, Chicago, Underland, and Taboo. Rachael's a recent graduate of Columbia University where she got the opportunity to perform in Ubu The King. She would like to thank Skyler for being a great bandmate and the entire cast for making this a great experience!
Mikey Sowers (Ensemble) is delighted to be making his debut with Imagine Productions. At a very young age, he knew that his calling in life would be to
entertain, and make people laugh. He recently graduated with honors from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre. During his education, he was the assistant sound designer on the OSU Theatre production of As You Like It, and was involved with the live mix crew of There Is No Silence; an MFA written piece inspired by the life of Marcel Marceau. He is excited to be returning to the stage and doing what he loves the most. He thanks his family, friends, and professors for their love and support.
Allison Walker (Stage Manager) is an OSU graduate with a theatre major and stage management concentration. She completed CATCO’s Stage Management Fellowship and helmed the Equity show A
Christmas Memory/ The Thanksgiving Visitor. SM credits with OSU’s Department of Opera and School of Music; New Players Theatre;
CATCO; Phoenix Theatre; Available Light Theatre; Gallery Players; Club Theatre Company; and Columbus Children’s Theatre. Onstage credits include Sister Robert Anne (Nunsense); Olive (25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee); Kate Murphy (Titanic: The Musical); Little Red Hen (The Stinky Cheeseman…); and Elisabeth Allen (COSI’s Titanic: The Artifact Exhibit). Ashley Woodard (Mrs. Luce/Glam Trio) is delighted to be making her onstage debut with Imagine in one of her favorite shows. Previously, she
worked with Imagine as the Music Director for Urinetown: The Musical in 2013. Recent onstage credits include Scotland Road (Curtain Players) for which she won a prestigious JEBBY award. She has also recently been seen in The Producers (Gallery Players), Assassins (Red Herring Productions), and Twelfth Night (Actors' Theatre). Ashley would like to thank Ryan and the entire Imagine family for this fantastic opportunity, Jaylene for
making her schedule work, and her dear family and friends who are her constant support.
