Image Manipulation

This is the front cover image before edited in Photoshop.

This is me cropping the image so the main focus is on the head area of the model.

I changed the Saturation and Lightness on the image so the image would brighten up so it matches the genre of the magazine. I changed the Saturation to +33 and the Lightness to -2.

I then changed the Exposure on the image to brighten up the background and for-ground. I changed the Exposure to +1.33 this makes the image stand out more instead of having a dull background.

By choosing the Magnetic Lasso tool I will chose a certain area on the magazine and edit that so nothing else on the image changes.

I decided to change the colour on the lips to make the lips stand out and be a brighter pink to match the genre of the magazine.

I changed the colour of the lips by choosing Selective Colour I changed the Cyan to 100%, Magenta to 100% and Yellow to -104% this made the vibrant Fuchsia colour to match the pop genre.
