I chose to do this picture in this way because Kira looks very pretty and feminine, which shows a different side to rock. However, she has kept the make-up and colour scheme which means she still fits in with the genre but she makes it more alternative.

I chose to do this picture because it has a very grunge-y feel to it. I like the contrast of the red rose with the darker colours, and again it is a very feminine but rock style picture.

I really like the position here, where it looks like they’re going to drop the rose. I prefer the left one because of where it is framed but I prefer the dirty arms and all black contrast on the right picture. I would probably use the right one in my magazine but change the positioning of it.

I really like the low angle of this picture as it makes my model seem like she is in charge and dominant. Especially on the chair she is in a queen-like position, which I like because as the lead singer of the band and the front man she is very important.

Once again, this reinforces the idea of beauty along with rock. I like the premise that she is dead but still wants to see how she looks, similar to a Day of the Dead thing. I also like this view as we can see the hand print on her neck, like that was how she died.

I like these pictures of the band being really close and lovey with each other, because when bands have to be together and work together so much they become closer. I think this is quite a realistic pose for bands to be in.

I think this picture works well because it captures a different side to the band altogether. Since the two are together I am going to mention the problems that can arise by it happening. I think this picture works quite well because of the contrast of love and death and also fits in with the stereotypical dark themes of rock music.

Again, I like these pictures of the band members messing around with each other. I think it is fun as it changes the dynamic of the band as a whole and it shows that it is more than a business, it is a friendship.

I think this picture is effective because it is a dramatic change from the “studio”. The grunge-y wall adds in with the rock aesthetic, and the band stands out more as they seem both completely in place and oddly so, since it is skeleton’s out in the real world.
