PHOTOSHOP EDITING. HANNAH HALLIDAY

I took these photographs in the green room at school, I pulled the black curtain across so that I could use it as a background. I used different angles to achieve these shots and I will choose which image I think is the best. I had to play around with the aperture so that I could get the image just right. I didn’t want it under exposed or over exposed.

Here is a plan of the image that I wanted to take. I is close to the images as the person is wearing a band t-shirt, ripped jeans and is playing a guitar.

STUDIES LAST YEAR AND I USE IT QUITE REGULAR AT HOME AND AT SCHOOL AS I TAKE PHOTOGRAPHY AS AN A LEVEL WHICH MEANS I HAVE TO USE IT TO EDIT MY PHOTOGRAPHS. • ON THE NEXT FEW SLIDES I AM GOING TO DEMONSTRATE MY

SKILLS WITH PHOTOSHOP AND THE THINGS THAT CAN BE DONE WITH IT. I WILL USE THE IMAGES I TOOK AS AN EXAMPLE. THE THINGS THAT I WILL DO WONT NECESSARILY BE WHAT I USE FOR MY ACTUAL MAGAZINE.

CROPPING:Here, I had to crop the image because there in the image there is a some of the grey background showing which I don’t want. I don’t want this here because it makes the image look untidy and it looks quite unprofessional.

QUICK SELECTI am going to select the black background and remove it so that I can put something behind it that fits in with the theme more.

I searched on the internet for backgrounds that I could put behind my image. If I was to do this for my magazine, I would take this type of image myself to keep it as an original image.

I think this works well because it makes the image look more realistic. I used layers to achieve this:

To achieve this, I had to put the original image that I took on the top layer and the concert stage background on the bottom because the things that you want to be on the top of the image have to be the very first layer otherwise it wouldn’t be visible.

On the logo on the t-shirt and the guitar, I turned the vibrance up slightly so that the colours looked more bold and they stood out more.

Here, the image looks quite dull and boring. There isn’t anything that really stands out for me in the image.

In this image, the colours are bright and bolder and the background makes the image look more realistic than it did before.
