I’m having my Birthday Party at

Aqualink Nunawading

I am going to have my Birthday Party at Aqualink. It is a Pool Party.

I will give all my friends an invitation.

When I arrive I will go to reception and they will tell me where to go.

I will walk down to the party table that is next to the pool. I will know it is my

party table as it will have my name on it.

When my friends arrive they may give me a birthday present and wish me Happy

Birthday. I will say thank you.

There are many fun Program Leaders that may take my Birthday Party. They will be

wearing bright blue tops and black shorts.

The two Program Leaders running my party will say hello to me and my parents at

the start of the party. They will play lots of fun games in the pool with everyone.

The Program Leaders will start the party by putting a wrist band on us. By doing this

they will know all the children in my party.

We will start by playing games in the Leisure Pool. I can wear my goggles if I want

to. I must listen carefully to what the Program Leaders say as the pool can get

noisy.

All parties are different so they will do different activities. If I am under eight I

could choose to go on the Small Inflatable. It is in the Leisure Pool.

If I am eight years or older I may choose to go on the Large Inflatable. This is in the

deep end of the 50m Pool. I must be able to swim safely in deep water.

If I am eight years or older I could also choose to go on the Tarzan Rope. This is also

in the deep end of the 50m Pool so I need to be able to swim in deep water so that I

will be safe.

I will not wear my goggles on the Inflatables or the Tarzan Rope as this is a rule. The

Leaders will look after them for me and my friends.

Around the pool there will be lifeguards. They are watching everyone in the water

to make sure they are safe. They will make sure everyone in my party is safe and I

am safe too.

When I am at the party I must always stay with the party and the Program Leaders.

If I need to go to the toilet I must let the Program Leader know and my parents can

take me.

If I do not want to go on an Inflatable or the Tarzan Rope, we can just play lots of

fun games in the Leisure Pool. One game is with a treasure chest and we will have

to collect all the toys that are scattered into the pool.

Another game is in the fun nuts. It is like two donuts joined together. Two people

can sit in it and try to catch everyone. It is lots of fun.

After all the games have been played my friends and the Program Leaders will sing

Happy Birthday to me. If my friends sing loud enough the rain cloud will come on.

If the pool is too noisy during the party I can go outside on the grass with my mum

or dad. It is very and quiet peaceful out there. If it is too noisy for any of my friends

their parents can take them out there too. I must let the Program Leaders know I

am doing this.

At Aqualink there will be other people swimming in the Pool that are not in my

party. That is ok as my party will have its own special area where they are not

allowed in.

When all the games are finished the Program Leaders will take us all back to the

party table and we will have some food and eat birthday cake. My friends might

sing Happy Birthday to me again.

I am so happy I had my party at Aqualink. It was a really fun day.
