Illumina Product SDS SearchIntroduction

Illumina product Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are available to our global customers for viewing, printing or downloading. The search tool has been made available to ensure customers are aware of the potential hazards associated with the handling of Illumina products.

There are a number of ways to search for Illumina product SDS on the website. Searches can be made using the kit catalog number or the reagent product number. SDS are available in various languages and regional format.

The default language in the search tool is set to English, and the default regional format is set to the United States. You can select among the additional languages and regional formats as needed.

SDS can be viewed, printed, downloaded and saved. SDS can be downloaded individually or added to a user basket. Adding documents to the basket will allow for bulk download capability.

1. Number (Catalog) – This corresponds to the kit catalog number. If you search by kit catalog number, your search results will include an SDS for each reagent in that particular kit.

2. Product Number – This corresponds to the Illumina reagent product number. The product number can be found on the reagent label as the REF # (e.g. 11222442). The product number is also equivalent to the Agile part number for the product.

3. Language – Filter search results based on the language of the SDS. Default is English.

4. Region – Filter search results based on the country format of the SDS. Default is United States.

Illumina products can be searched by kit catalog number, which will result in all reagents tied to the specific Kit.

1. Number (Catalog) - Enter the Illumina kit catalog number in the “Number (Catalog)” field and select the “Search” button. In the example below, we searched for kit catalog number MS-102-2021. The dashes “-” in the catalog number, are required. Please note that entering the complete kit catalog number will ensure better results

Illumina products can be searched by Illumina reagent product number, which will result in a specific reagent SDS. The Illumina product number can be found on the Illumina label as the REF # (e.g. 11222442). The product number is also equivalent to the Agile part number for the product.

1. Product Number - Enter the Illumina reagent product number in the field and select the “Search” button. In the example below, we searched for product number 11274331.

Illumina Product SDS SearchLanguage and Region Selection

SDS language and/or region format can be adjusted as needed. To ensure accurate results, the language should be complimentary of the region. For example, if “French” is selected for Language, “France” should be selected for Region.

1. Language - Select the language for which an Illumina SDS is needed from the drop down menu arrow. Default language is English.

2. Region - Select the region for which an Illumina SDS is needed from the drop down menu arrow. Default region is United States.

3. If the Language or Region fields are left blank, the search results will include all languages and regions.

Once desired search criteria has been entered, a search results page will follow. Products will be listed as individual reagents.

1. Product Name – Primary product name for the SDS on record

2. Synonyms – Be aware that the product SDS you need may be a synonym to another product SDS. Check the synonym column for more information. For example, product number 11274331 has multiple synonyms, as shown below.

3. Language – Lists the language of the SDS on record.

4. Region – Lists the region format of the SDS on record.

The search result will show that product number 11274331 is listed among other product numbers. This product is a synonym to an existing document

The SDS for the product number 11274331, also includes product number 11254006 and 11176765. Product name synonyms are also included on the SDS.

1. To view a PDF image of any product SDS, select the product name in the “Product Name” column on the SDS Search Results Page or from the SDS In Basket.

2. The PDF viewer will open within the page. There will be an option to print, save, or email the SDS in the PDF viewer

Illumina Product SDS SearchSDS In Basket – Adding SDS to Basket

Basket functionality allows for users to add one or many SDS to a Basket for bulk down load capability.

1. Add Single Product SDS to user Basketa. From the SDS search results page, select the box

next to product name for which you would like to add the SDS to the basket. A checkmark will appear in the box once checked.

b. Select the “Add Checked to Basket” option

3. A green message box stating “SDS have been successfully added to basket”, will appear after SDS are selected and added.

4. Once an SDS is added to the basket, there will be a number in parenthesis to the right of the “SDS in Basket” option on the top right corner of the page. This number represents how many SDS are currently in your basket.

a. To view the list of SDS in your basket, select the “SDS in Basket” option.

Once SDS are added to the user Basket, they can be viewed, downloaded, or emailed.

1. To download individual SDS from your basket, select the check box next to the Product Name

a. Select “Download SDSs”.

2. To download all SDS from your basket a. Select “Download SDSs”.

3. SDS in PDF format will be downloaded into a zip file, which can be opened or saved.

4. To remove any SDS from your basket, select the check box next to the Product Name for the SDS you want to remove, then select “Remove Checked”

5. After documents have been downloaded and saved, or to clear all SDS, select “Empty Basket”. It is important to note that SDS will remain in the user basket until it is manually emptied.
