Comparing Multiple ILI Runs
An in-line inspection (ILI) is one of the most reliable means of assessing the integrity of a pipeline. The results of a single ILI run give a snapshot of the current condition of the line and identify locations that require remediation. But comparing multiple ILI runs can provide a much clearer picture of what is happening. • Identification of common defects and detailed analyses of non-matched anomalies
• Detailed anomaly-to-anomaly matching for the joints that pose the largest integrity threat
• Identification of areas of statistically active corrosion (SAC) The ILI Report Card identifies “orphan” joints or anomalies on one ILI that are not present in other ILI runs (i.e. “new” corrosion and “disappearing” anomalies).
