The shape that has been built by hand!THE BIG DIAMETER FILLS THE PALM OF THE HANDThe size of the handle portion that lies in the palm of the hand, and its design,are crucial for the levels of torque generated. Bigger handle diameters lead tohigher power transmission, while the parts of the handle that protrude outof the hand, have no influence on the level of torque.

BROAD, GENTLY FORMED MOULDINGS PROVIDE OPTIMALCONTACT ZONES FOR THE MUSCLES OF THE HANDThe particularly strong muscles of the index and of the middle fingerfind optimal support in the soft Elastomer zones.

NO EDGES, NO GROOVESSince the handle is perfectly rounded, the hand is fully protected.Calloused hands, blisters and joint pains, caused by edges, grooves,rough surfaces and too much stickiness (from the use of too muchsoft material), will be prevented.

OUTSTANDING GRIPThe Kraftform® -handle, shaped by the hand, provides atremendous grip. Every muscle finds its place, and thecomplete hand finds contact to the handle.

The Kraftform®-handle gives better power transmissionwith less effort. Repeated turning is also easy, sincethe hard zones move smoothly across the skinwhen re-positioning. This gives more power andmore speed when screw-driving.

BLADEMore safety throughlaser technology.WERA slipSTOP® -BLADES PREVENT THE TOOL FROM SLIPPINGOUT OF THE FASTENER’S RECESS.This amazing effect has been achieved by applying out Lasertip® -treatmentto the drive end of the screwdriver blade. The result is an extremely roughsurface, with a hardness of almost1000 Vickers, that digs into the screwrecess. As a result, annoying, expensive re-work (drilling out), damagedsurfaces, and operator injuries caused by slipping out of the recess willbe greatly reduced.

REDUCED CAM-OUT-FORCESAs a result of a reduced cam-out-effect (slipping out), muchless axial pressure is required. Thus, the Wera slipStop® -bladeand Kraftform® -handle work perfectly together in order to makescrewdriving even more secure and effortless.

Naturally the 900 series features the proven Kraftform handle. Tha handle fits perfectly in the hand, because it is shaped bythe hand. Every muscle will grip, and the whole hand is in contact with the handle.The hex bolsters allows for the use of an open-jawed or ring spanner to transfer higher torque.

BTZ-range for use in “hard-joint” fasteningWera BTZ-serie for hard-joint fastening involvesdriving fasteners into prethreaded holes in sheetmetal or metal. When the head of the screwreaches the material’s surface, the stress risesabruptly and this can influence the life of boththe screw and the tool. Using a bit that is toohard can lead to breakage. TH-serieWera TH-serie bits for driving into wood, extrahardbits are best suited since torsion peaks do notoccur in soft-joint fastening. During the drivingcycle, the torque loads increase continuously -until the head of the screw reaches the materialsurface. Due to their high quality, Wera extra-hard bits prevent costly premature wear and tear.

TZ-serieWera TZ-serie bits suits for fastening in metal andsheet metal. The advantage when used in hard-joint fastening is that the rapidly increasing torquedoes not result in bit breakage, as would be thecase with a bit that is too hard. Wera TZ-bitsprevent premature breaks of the drive tip andtherefore ensure longer service life and cost-effective fastening for the hard fasteningapplication.

The results are remarkable.

The torques which can be applied to agiven screw rise by even 20% when com-pared with the conventional design.

An endurance test using power driversand Hex-Plus bits, comparing them withordinary hex-head drivers, revealed theresults: that the conventional hex-headtool had already stripped the screw socketafter a few loosening and tightening cycles,the Hex-Plus system boosted the numbersof cycles many times over.

The hex keys are made of high-quality73 Mo V 52 steel, which guaranteesthe longer life to the tool.

Anyone who works with hexagonsocket screws is familiar with theproblem of “rounded” screw recess.

The reason for this problem is the contactof the sharp edges of a hex key inside thescrew profile. This notching effect grindsthe inside of the screwhead and destroysit.

Hex-Plus offers the solution to thisproblem.

According to test results, this driverconcept for normal hexagon socket screwsyields remarkable results in regard to theservice lives of both the screw and the tool.

This lessens in turn the notch pressurewhich the tool exerts on the screw to afifth of that in traditional systems and,when the defined plastic deformationphase commences, it goes toward zero.The surfaces of the Hex-Plus tool act onthe socket like a snowplow so that at high

torques the socket will bedeformed but not

stripped.

The notching effectgrinds the inside of thescrew-head anddestroys it.

Conventional hex keyshave a small contactsurface along anarrow line. Thenotching effect grindsthe inside of the screw-head and destroys it.Hex-Plus tool have anincreased contactsurface. Thus Hex-Plusreduces the notchingeffect inside the socket

The ball-shaped headfeatured on all Hex-Plus L-keys providesgreat flexibility for“off-angle”applications.
