September Newsle-er Dear Friends, What a glorious day we enjoyed on Rally Day! Delicious food, wonderful music, lots of people, great inflatable games and perfect weather! This year, we added fun music from FrenchAxe, thanks to Nikki Daley for lining them up to add to the fabulous atmosphere on the front lawn. I hope that you were able to join us for a super kick-off to the fall season at IHC. However, If you were unable to aJend please check out our social media accounts to see and hear some of the fun. Also, we welcomed our New Music Director, Phil Clary, aMer a long search process that lasted the enNre summer. It is exciNng that Phil will lead us in to the future with energy, creaNvity and with a fresh new vision. Indian Hill Church is in a new place as a congregaNon, choir and music department. We have had amazing talented directors in Tibby and Brenda, but the modern-day church is different and changing, and it is Nme for us to embrace that change and move into the future. We need new voices and more church choir members. I think we have church members who have giMs and talents for music that for whatever reason do not parNcipate. I believe that Phil is well known in the Village and greater CincinnaN area but also a new aJracNon to draw them in. Phil is also connected both inside CCM and the greater CincinnaN music and Choral scene. In addiNon, he will conNnue to teach at the Indian Hill High School which will be very posiNve for us. I am excited about what the future will hold with our music program. He has a vision for our music ministry and its imprint on the congregaNon, the Village and the wider CincinnaN music community. I want to thank the Music Director Search CommiJee, Jane BenneJ, Eliza GanJ, Lisa Kircher, Rob Lewis, David Park, Bob Rhoad, Whitley Schoeny, Reverend George Sherrill, KaNe Sullivan, Jennifer Taylor, Jocelyn Tozier, and Barb VanderLaan. George, the rest of the staff, and I are very excited to work with Phil and I have a great amount of enthusiasm for the future of our music ministry and the church. Have you noNced the new brochures in the backs of the pews? They describe our church’s planned giving society, named for Reverend Luther Tucker, a visionary leader of our church who served as rector from 1949 unNl 1973. The Luther Tucker Legacy Society welcomes all who make a planned giM to the Indian Hill Church Endowment Fund - through a bequest in a will, a life income giM or a giM of special assets.

As you prepare or update your financial plan, estate plan, or will, please consider including a giM to the Indian Hill Church. By doing so, you will leave a legacy which will help ensure a bright future for our church for generaNons to come.
