C 1. Lynx relationship statusLynx Tunisia, through Ogilvy came up with a new form of
relationship status update on Facebook. They had to reach a young male audience, and they used their
local knowledge to implement a campaign that really hit their target and enabled their page to grow virally.
They used the relationship status in Facebook, to allow people to brag about how many girls they’d been
with. The app currently has over 6,000 monthly users on Facebook, which is impressive for a campaign which
had little or no media ad spend behind it. The campaign was well considered as the status update
was linked directly to the app itself – of course if you see your friend is engaged to 300 girls you’re naturally
going to click to find out more! A great use of a Facebook app here, and though it might not strictly be allowed by Facebook as it mimics one of their native functions, they seem to have successfully used it for
their campaign.

C 2. Marvel Launches Fake Thor Commercial
Marvel has released, through their YouTube channel, a Thor-based parody of the popular
Volkswagen Super Bowl commercial from earlier this year. In it, the original's commercial's child version of Darth Vader is replaced with a young
God of Thunder, wielding some unexpected results.

Using augmented reality and mirrors this innovative idea allows retail customers to try on virtual clothes in a topshop store in Russia. The
virtual fitting room uses Microsoft Kinect technology to let shoppers try on clothes without having to put anything on or step into an actual fitting room, even giving you a front and back
view. A mirror out on the shop’s floor has a built-in camera that can recognize a person’s body
and then superimpose a 3D model of whatever you want to try on.

C 4. Take A Stand Against the death Penalty
Ensemble Contre la Peine de Mort (Together Against the Death Penalty) recently run a campaign To mark the 30th anniversary
of the abolition of the death penalty in France and the launch of its new website.
The art installation set up by the agency Marcel consisted of two digital panels facing each other, separated by about four
meters. Each panel releases video: a soldier with his rifle on one, a convict awaiting death on the other.
When bystanders are positioned between the two panels, they trigger a new video: the military drop his
weapon and then the offender is released.

C 5. MTV Brazil
This is an impressive stop motion video for MTV Brazil. Unlike many other stop-motion ideas, these are not drawings on papers nor pictures, but drawings on balloons. The balloons were set onto a 200 meter
long rail and to achieve a moving picture effect, 10 balloons had to be popped per second, which are
600 balloons per minute. Apparently it took nearly 24 hours so shoot the multiple takes needed.
