Changes to Accounting Procedures IGA and Foodland Outlets

Dear Newsagent As from Monday October 10, 2011 the majority of IGA and Foodland outlets will be serviced under a Direct Relationship Agreement between Metcash and ANPL which will result in a minor change to the way Newsagents currently service these sites. The only notable change is that under a direct relationship agreement – ANPL will be responsible for billing these stores directly via Metcash. The following outlines the roles and responsibilities for Newsagents and ANPL under this agreement; ANPL:

• Will be responsible for allocating supplies and weekly billing for all News Limited titles and products. Newsagents:

• Newsagents will not be billed for supplies to participating IGA and Foodland outlets from October 10, 2011.

• Labelled supplies for individual IGA & Foodland outlets will be supplied to newsagents daily and must not be altered.

• A final account from Newsagents to IGA & Foodland stores will be required for supplies for week ending Sunday October 9, 2011unless otherwise notified by ANPL.

• Some sites may not be ready to commence on October 10, 2011 and may progressively come on line soon after. We will communicate these sites with the relevant newsagents.

Newsagent commission and settlement discount: The commission structure remains unchanged at 12.5% on the net sale with credits appearing on your account each week, 2 weeks in arrears. ANPL will continue to pay the settlement discount on sales associated with these outlets for the term of the current agreement. Newsagent procedures Delivery and returns processes for ANPL products into these outlets will remain the same. All deliveries must be accompanied by a daily cart note with IGA and Foodland staff having been advised to reconcile all newspaper deliveries against daily cart notes. Should you have any questions about these changes please don’t hesitate to contact Andrew Goodwin (Retail Sales Manager) on 8206 2135, Jason Bollard (Account Manager – IGA) on 8206 2830 or Kevin Witcher (Account Manager – Foodland) on 8206 2148.
