IF WE OR YOU) ONLY KNEWTeam 1

If we or you only knewWe R 1

    Quiet, whispered morning (Fear)

If we or (you) only knew one not two, about how

people treat your color or culture, just know

that you are you. You could be black orange, red

or blue. Just know no one can change youIf we or (you) only knew if hate and

discrimination can be constructed, it can bedeconstructed.

What to say!My grandfather was jailed for being a socialist.

If we or (you) only knew even white light has a

dark hue.As I look around darkness is all I see. If

nothing changes there would be no butterflies

If we or (you) only knew the concentrated power

    in a word.

If we or (you) only knew that when I first

looked at you, I saw how we are from the same

    human family

If we only knew that race does not define us, it

does not portray us. We have the ability to

    choose what defines us.

If we or you only knewIf we or (you) only knew the power of embracing

    differences

If we or (you) only knew that everything would

be a lot easier if we only knew to just be

If we or (you) only knew that I love you despite

    my view

If we or (you) only knew that humanity is one

    human race

If we or (you) only knew that different in skin

color but our hearts beat alike

If we or (you) only knew that race is just an

idea thats been based upon science, but it hasdivided our world in negative ways

If we or (you) only knew that we are alike in

more ways than just what you see on the outside,

that whiteness doesnt define who I am as a

person or how I view others

If we or (you) only knew how to embrace each

    other culture

If we or (you) only knew how our (your) actions

have played a great role in changing and shaping

    our world

If we or (you) only knew Je ne sais pas.

Team 4If we or you only knewIf we only knew that our beauty runs much

    deeper than our skin

If we or (you) only knew that race is a

    recent human invention

If we or (you) only knew that race is a

    perception, perception isnt reality

If we or (you) only knew that race among

all, in our hearts has no place

If we or (you) only knew how bad we messed

    up

If we or (you) only knew that people who

dont admit their unearned privilege make

    me feel blue

If we or (you) only knew how we are, how we

know our culture. If we or (you) only knew

that we are beautiful and dont let anyone

    bother you.

    Team 5

If we or you only knewIf we only knew how painful it is to live

in a society where love is not the

foundation or rule that unite us.

If we only knew what to do you know that I

dont? I dont know what you know, so how

would I know what I know and you dont

If we only knew the possibilities.

If we or (you) only knew how similar we all

are. Yes my skin is as black as you, my

lips, hips and skin will leave you ready to

    play guitar.

If we only knew that different is not good

or bad, it is only different, rather than

    separating us Connect.

If we only knew that we are the ones that

need to stop the racism and stand up forwhat is right.

If we or you only knewIf we only knew, theres no such thing as race

If we only knew, what everyone else knows

If we only knew, that color was strategic to

divide us, but can be infinitely useful to blend

us beautifully! But what if I told you just

because my skin is lighter doesnt mean Imbetter.

If you only knew, he said softly, to be white is

to be privileged, but not necessarily to be

    safe.

If we or you only knew that you (we) are the

ones with power to change society for thebetter.

If we only knew to follow the thread to the

    Heart Race boundaries would melt!

If we only knew that the power of a group

    undivided could shine through!

If we only knew that race is a very powerfuldiscussion and topic

If we only knew how rich in culture we can be ifwe were not SCARED of each other!
