Manufacturing Technology

IEC continuously invests in the latest

machine tool and manufacturing

equipment through its supply

agreements for the very latest machine

tool and cutting tool technologies.

The company operates Cad/Cam

software systems by Solidworks,

Pathtrace Edgecam and Mazatrol

Camware. It also has full six axis CNC

machine tool capability.

Surface Treatments

As a member of the Nasmyth Group,

IEC benefits from access to surface

treatment companies which operate as

an extension of the manufacturing

process. It also has its own fully

approved nylon coat processing plant

on site.

Lean Manufacture and Continuous Improvement

IEC operates a design for manufacture

process from material selection and

form to the manufacturing and finishing

process. IEC's team of dedicated

engineers then develop this philosophy

using best practice to set up the

optimum manufacturing facility,

resulting in a service which reflects the

customers cost initiatives and trading

Kitted Operations

Many of IEC's customers require pre-

kitted parts delivered direct to their own

assembly facilities to rationalise the

supply of parts managed by the supply

chain. IEC provides these kits for line

side delivery through a number of

customer controlled schedules.

Assemblies

IEC's in-house facility incorporates a

clean room for dirt and dust free

assembly. The company's experienced

aircraft fitters are able to provide critical

working assemblies tested

to customers'

specifications.

sources. These can be delivered to the

customers point of use.

Supply Logistics

IEC organises its transport and

packaging logistics around the

requirements of its customers, using

bespoke, re-usable packaging for the

supply chain so verification is often

achieved without opening the package.
