1. Using this Guide Introducing iDriveOnline Personal Web Pages (PURLs) allow you to track multiple vehicle records, including recommended maintenance schedules, service history and recall information. You can access the online service scheduler to book service appointments. And, most importantly, you can select your preferred channel of communication (voice, email, text message, or direct mail) for important recall, service, and other messagesfrom your dealership.

2. Getting Started Registration If you are a new user of the iDriveOnline website, you can register for an account by clicking the ‘Register Now!’ button or the ‘REGISTER HERE’ link on the home page. The Registration page consists of two required fields, namely your Last Name and your 17 character Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). The form is as shown in Figure 2-1. Enter these fields and click the submit button to complete the registration process.

Signing In To Sign in, you must enter www.idriveonline.com in your browser’s address bar. The Sign In page would appear as shown in Figure 2-2. You must then enter your username and password into the respective fields and click Sign In. If you require assistance in signing in, please click on the ‘Sign In Help’ link. This will open a new window listing answers to the most frequently asked questions regarding signing in.

3. My Information After successfully signing in, you will see the home page as shown in figure 3-1. The home screen consists of the following functional blocks: This function can be accessed by clicking the My Information link in the top menu bar. On clicking the link, the form is displayed in the central content panel as shown below. The form consists of two sections namely – Contact Information and Communication Preferences. Figure 4-1: My Information page. Contact Information

The Contact Information section displays your current contact details in the system. This includes First Name, Last Name, Email address, Cell phone, Home phone, and Work phone, Address, City, State and Zip. You can edit any of these fields by clicking on the field of interest, editing the information and finally clicking the Save Info button. Communication Preferences The Communication Preferences section allows you to select your preferred means of receiving Safety, Recall and other important news from your dealership. The options included Mail, Email, Phone and Text. You may select Preferred or Not Preferred for each option and finally click the Save Info button.

Change Password You can access the Change Password form by clicking on the link below the Save Info button. This will bring up the Change Password form as shown in figure 4-2. You can then change your current username and/or password by first providing your old password and current email address.

4. Navigating iDriveOnline Header Bar This block consists of a welcome message on the top left stating the name of the currently signed in user (this should be you!). The top right corner has a link to Log Out from the current session. By clicking this link, you will safely end the current session in the system. It is strongly advised that each time you are done using iDriveOnline, you log out and then close your browser. Below this, you will observe the logo of your dealer and a link to a randomly selected ‘Special’. More information about ‘Specials’ can be found in Chapter 8 of this document.

Top Menu Bar The Top Menu Bar contains a set of functions that are easily accessible from anywhere within the website. Whichever page you are currently navigating, you will always find this menu bar at the top of the page. The features available in the menu include – My Information, My Vehicles, Service Schedules, Service History, Specials and Contact dealer. Each of these features is explained within the forthcoming chapters.

Left Menu Panel The Left Menu Panel contains the list of all your available vehicles. It also prominently displays the currently selected vehicle name along with graphic and other relevant information. You can easily click on your vehicles in the list to select it as the current vehicle. The Recall information can also be accessed by clicking on the Recall link. Finally there is a link for viewing Deleted Vehicles. Each feature is explained in the forthcoming chapters.

5. My Vehicles This function lets you Add, Edit and Delete vehicles to your account. By clicking the My Vehicles link, you get a table with the current list of vehicles in the system as shown in figure 5-1. In addition to displaying the list of vehicles, this page provides you with the ability to edit or delete a specific vehicle. You may add a new vehicle by clicking the Add New Vehicle link at the bottom of the list.

Add a vehicle To add a new vehicle to your account,

you must click on the Add New Vehicle link. This will bring up the form as shown in figure 5-2. You can then enter the Car brand name, Year of manufacture, Model, Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), Daily Mileage and Last recorded mileage. You need to click the save button to complete the process.

Edit a Vehicle To edit the details of a vehicle already in the system, you can select the Edit link in the list of vehicles. This brings up the form as shown in figure 5-3. You can modify any of the current values as per required. Finally, you must click the Save button to complete the process. The VIN is not open to editing as it is a unique identifier for a vehicle. In case you find the VIN to be incorrect, you may add a new vehicle with the correct VIN and delete any invalid vehicles from the list.

Delete a Vehicle To delete a vehicle from the list, you should click the Delete link next to the entry of the vehicle in the list shown in figure 5-1. You will be prompted to confirm the action. Once a vehicle is deleted, to undo the action you must navigate to the Deleted Vehicles page. This feature is explained in Chapter 11.

6. Service Schedules This page displays the dealer recommended service schedule for the currently selected vehicle. The list displays the estimated date and the service. To get further details and to

schedule the service, you can click on the service title. These details include Procedures installed, additional services included and price.

7. Service History This page displays the historical records of all services for the vehicle you are currently viewing. Each time you complete a service at the dealership, the dealership records the details in this section. The details include Date, Mileage, Services and Price. You may also add non-dealer services by clicking on the Add button. You may also edit or delete such non-dealer service records. The service records input by the dealer are read only and can’t be edited or deleted.

Add By clicking this button, you are presented with the Add service form. By using this form, you may enter non-dealer service records. You must enter the information for the following fields – Date, Mileage, Price, and Description and select the nature of the service from the drop down list.

Edit Only non-dealer records generated by you are open for editing. To edit a record, you select the record by clicking on the respective checkbox and then clicking the edit button. Only one record can be edited at a time. The edit form is similar to the Add service form. You may edit any of the fields and click the Save button to complete the process.

Delete To delete a user-generated, non-dealer service record, you need to select the respective checkbox and click the Delete button. You will be prompted to confirm the action. The delete operation cannot be undone. This operation is also not open for dealer certified service records.

8. Specials This section displays the current available dealership Specials offered exclusively to web customers. To get details for any specific offer, you can click on the graphic. This will open the coupon in a new window along with a description. You can print the coupon using the Print Page link on the bottom of the new window.

9. Contact Dealer This page displays all the relevant contact information for your dealership. This includes the Address, Phone number, Fax number and Website URL for the dealership. Also optionally, the dealer will provide hours of operation, Phone number and email addresses for the various departments within the dealership. These departments include Sales, Service, Parts and Body Shop.

10. Recalls This page lists possible matches for recalls for the current vehicle as per the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). To get more detailed information or to verify if your vehicle is affected by any recalls, you are advised to contact the dealership. Each recall entry contains Make, Model, Year and Summary of the Recall.

11. Deleted Vehicles This page displays the list of vehicles deleted through the My Vehicle page. You may restore any deleted vehicle in this list by selecting the respective radio button and clicking the Submit button to complete the process. The deleted vehicles are listed along with their VIN, Type, Make, Year and Model.
