First Steps: Installation of SAP IDES ERP 6.0 including SAP ERP 6.0 enhancement package 5

This First Steps document gives you an overview of the various sources of information that are available for the delivered SAP product SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0. It contains important information and current amendments to existing documentation (such as SAP Notes and Internet addresses). The document also describes how you access the SAP Service Marketplace and where you can find help for the delivered SAP product.

The abbreviation EhP is used for enhancement package throughout this document.

Introduction IDES

Enclosed you find the SAP ERP 6.0 version of the IDES system (IDES = Internet Demo and Evaluation System) including EhP5. IDES is a complete installation with the data of a model company in client 800 and is used as our SAP demo system and popular playground for customizing and testing. Even if there are parts of the SAP training material, the system is NOT to be used as training system of original SAP courses. The simulation of official SAP trainings will only be possible in very few cases. In all clients you can logon with DDIC and SAP* with the passwords 19920706 / 06071992, and also in all clients with IDADMIN / ides. The system already contains a number of languages. For details perform transaction SMLT after the installation.

Please note that the IDES shipment is a service from SAP on a voluntary basis. It is not allowed to use IDES systems in production, as productive systems in order to generate revenue.

A) First Steps to Installing for SAP ERP 6.0 incl. SAP EhP 5

If you do not yet have a user for the SAP Service Marketplace, create one as described in section B.1).

In the SAP Service Marketplace you will find the documents you require for planning SAP ERP installations and upgrades. For more information about the documentation, see section B.3).

For Information about SAP ERP 6.0, see the SAP EhP 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 Master Guide and the SAP ERP 6.0 Master Guide. SAP ERP EhP 5 is based on SAP ERP 6.0. Depending on the key capabilities you require, determine the necessary SAP ERP software components and instances, as well as the corresponding system landscape. If you are planning to upgrade existing software components, consult the information in the SAP ERP 6.0 Upgrade Master Guide too. The latest versions of the these guides are available on the SAP Service

components, you also need to read the information contained in the SAP NetWeaver 7.0 Master Guide and the Upgrade Master Guide. These guides are also available in the SAP Service Marketplace. You can find the latest versions of both guides at service.sap.com/instguidesnw70. Make sure you always use the most up-to-date

version of the documents. For further information about the new capabilities in SAP enhancement package 2 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0, see the SAP Community Network at sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/nw-70ehp2.

Before you start to install or upgrade the first system, you have to install the SAP Solution Manager or update the existing version. This is a technical requirement for performing installations and upgrading SAP ERP 6.0 systems. For more information, see section B.5) SAP Solution Manager.

Based on the information contained in the Media Information chapter of the SAP EhP 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 Master Guide and the SAP ERP 6.0 Master Guide, determine which of the data carriers in the package you require for installing or upgrading the respective SAP ERP software components. Note: This IDES installation represents the ABAP-AS ERP component from the complete SAP ERP package. It is up to you to install additional non-IDES ERP components. An additional JAVA-AS can be installed but will not contain any IDES-specific data.

Install or upgrade the software components as described in the installation / upgrade guides or installation / upgrade notes.

Examples: difference between the standard installation of SAP ERP 6.0 incl. EhP5 and the IDES installation a) Standard Installation of SAP ERP 6.0 incl. EhP5

Determine the data carriers you require for the installation of SAP ERP 6.0 EhP5, on the basis of the SAP EhP 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 Master Guide:

- DVD SAP Business Suite 7i 2010 Installation Master

- DVD SAP ERP 6.0 EhP5 Installation Export (2 DVDs)

- DVD SAP ERP 6.0 EhP5 Languages,

- DVD SAP Business Suite 7i 2010, Kernel 7.20, <Operating System>

- and the corresponding database data carriers.

The SAP ERP 6.0 Installation Guide can be accessed for various platforms from service.sap.com/erp-inst → SAP ERP 6.0 → Installation.

b) IDES-Installation of SAP ERP 6.0 incl. EhP5

On the basis of the SAP EhP 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 Master Guide, this extension and note 1601314 use the following DVDs:

- DVD SAP IDES Business Suite 7i 2010 Installation Master ( ! IDES specific !)

- DVD SAP IDES ERP 6.0 EhP5 Installation Export (5 DVDs)

- There is no language DVD. A lot of languages are already available. You only have to set the profile parameter zcsa/installed_languages accordingly.

- DVD SAP Business Suite 7i 2010, Kernel 7.20, <Operating System>

- and the corresponding database data carriers.

Be aware of the IDES specific Installation Master, the IDES Export DVDs and the bigger total size of the system. All other steps are as described in the standard installation guides.

B) Important Information and Sources

B.1) Prerequisites for the Use of the SAP Service Marketplace

Requesting a User ID for the SAP Service Marketplace

To request a user ID for the SAP Service Marketplace, go to service.sap.com and choose

Registration at the top right of the screen. To register, you need a valid e-mail address and your customer or installation number, which you will find on the delivery note for this shipment. Your user ID enables you to access all SAP information and support channels.

Your user ID also enables you to create customer messages. For more information, see the SAP Service Marketplace at service.sap.com/message.

B.2) License Keys

When installing an SAP system, a temporary license key is created automatically. The key is valid for four weeks. You must apply for a permanent license key immediately after you have installed your SAP software. (For further information, see SAP Notes 94998 and 870871.) You apply for this license key on the SAP Support Portal at service.sap.com/support → Keys &

Requests → License Keys or at service.sap.com/licensekeys. To do this, you need the

LICENSE KEY ASSIGNMENT authorization. (Further information is available on the SAP Support Portal at service.sap.com/user-admin.) If you have any problems or questions regarding

license keys, create a customer message for component XX-SER-LIKEY. In case of problems regarding user administration, create a customer message for component XX-SER-SAPSMP-USR.

B.3) Documentation

Master Guides

The SAP EhP 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 Master Guide and SAP ERP 6.0 Master Guide are the starting points for planning an SAP ERP system and component landscape. They contain information about a minimum SAP landscape, the required software components for key functional areas in SAP ERP 6.0, the installation sequence, the data carriers required to install or upgrade SAP ERP software components, and so on.

The SAP ERP 6.0 Upgrade Master Guide is the starting point for planning upgrades in an SAP ERP system and component landscape. For example, it describes for defined processes the steps required to upgrade the individual software components, the upgrade sequence, and sample system landscapes.

Online Documentation

The online documentation DVD, which includes SAP Library for SAP ERP 6.0, is part of this shipment. The SAP Library for SAP ERP 6.0 is also available on the SAP Help Portal at help.sap.com → Documentation. It does not contain any IDES specific content.

You can find the documentation for the business functions that are delivered with the enhancement packages on the SAP Help Portal (help.sap.com) at SAP ERP → SAP Library

→ Business Function Sets and Business Functions.

The documentation of the new or enhanced applications in the enhancement packages is heavily oriented on the content of the business functions. This applies to the system documentation and the SAP Library. For information about installing the SAP Library in the context of the enhancement packages, see the documentation DVD that is part of the software delivery (the "Readme" text) and SAP Note 1066110.

Release Notes

The Release Notes for SAP EhP 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 that describe the new functions and changes are available in the SAP Service Marketplace at service.sap.com/releasenotes → SAP

Installation and Upgrade Guides

You can download installation and upgrade guides from the SAP Service Marketplace at service.sap.com/erp-inst or service.sap.com/instguides. Be aware of the IDES-

specific differences described above. There is no separate IDES installation guide.

Platform Availability

For a list of all the supported combinations of databases and operating systems, see the SAP Service Marketplace at service.sap.com/pam. IDES systems are not available on all

platforms. See SAP Note 1601314.

B.4) Support and Maintenance

SAP Notes

The SAP Service Marketplace contains SAP Notes detailing solutions for known problems or providing additional information. You can search for and read SAP Notes at service.sap.com/notes.

Customer Messages

If you encounter problems when installing, upgrading, or running SAP EhP 5 for SAP ERP 6.0, create a customer message in the SAP Service Marketplace at service.sap.com/message.

For general installation problems use the standard components – for example - BC-INS-NT or BC-INS-UNX. For IDES specific problems use component XX-IDES.

Maintenance Strategy

Mainstream maintenance for SAP EhP 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 is based on the maintenance of the underlying SAP ERP 6,0, and ends on March 31, 2013. For more information about the maintenance strategy, see service.sap.com/maintenance.

Support Package Stacks

You can download all the available SAP Support Packages and patches for SAP EhP 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 from the Software Download Center in the SAP Service Marketplace at service.sap.com/patches.

SAP recommends you always install the latest SAP Support Package stacks. Support Package Stacks constitute a set of SAP Support Packages and patches.

Attention: IDES systems already contain a number of Support Packages. It is up to you to import additional Support Packages.

For information about the minimum Support Package Stack level and the prerequisites for installing SAP EhP 5 for SAP ERP 6.0, see SAP Note 1484460.

Support for Partner Products

While running SAP software, you may encounter errors that are caused not by the SAP products but can be traced back to the database, operating system, hardware, or other application products, for example.

Note the following when requesting support for such problems:

Case 1: The product was purchased through SAP. This applies to the following products: Java Virtual Machine CrEme for PocketPC, specific mobile device drivers approved by SAP, the database IBM DB2 Everyplace for SAP Mobile Infrastructure 2.5 and the databases MS SQL Version > 7, Oracle RDBMS, Informix Online server, DB2 UDB or application products (for example, by Requisite). In this case, SAP is your contact for support and assumes responsibility for finding a solution together with the product vendor within the scope of the SAP Maintenance Agreement.

Case 2: The product was not purchased through SAP.

1. This applies to all other products, such as all operating systems and hardware, as well as the database IBM DB2/400, non-SAP application products, and database administration tools/functions, if applicable. The contact for support for these products is the product vendor. If the error was originally reported to SAP, SAP Support forwards the message to the respective partner’s support organization. SAP has agreements with all partners that clearly define the procedures for forwarding these customer support messages. Note that the partner only provides support if you have a valid support contract with the product vendor for the product in question. Note also that the agreed service times (weekends and nights, for example) are an important component in this contract.

2. Check whether your support contracts match our partners’ recommendation or the above-mentioned conditions and, if necessary, contact the partner or service provider for the partner products directly.

B.5) SAP Solution Manager

With SAP Solution Manager, SAP provides you with a platform that supports the implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of SAP ERP 6.0. Using SAP Solution Manager enables you to take full advantage of SAP’s support services and gives you the opportunity to leverage the broad spectrum of SAP's support and continuous improvement offerings.

SAP strongly recommends using SAP Solution Manager to determine the software components that need to be installed so that you can use the desired business functions. A minimum requirement is to have SAP Solution Manager 7.0 Support Package 23 installed in the SAP Solution Manager system. The Solution Manager Maintenance Optimizer (MOpz) enables you to select the technical usages to be installed. For more information about the implementation, see SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 Master Guide, or the SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 Upgrade Master Guide, if you want to upgrade from a previous SAP EhP.

During the installation process, a SAP Solution Manager system is required to generate the “SAP Solution Manager Key” for the installation of SAP SAP EhP 5 for SAP ERP 6.0. Without this key you cannot complete the installation process successfully.

Perform the following activities with SAP Solution Manager as part of your SAP ERP project: • Define your system landscape. • Connect existing systems to activate the EarlyWatch Alert. • Define the relevant SAP ERP 6.0 business processes for your implementation.

Additionally, SAP recommends you: • Document, configure, and test the business processes you have already defined • Train end users how to use SAP Solution Manager

If you are using SAP components based on the JAVA stack, install and use Solution Manager Diagnostics for root cause analysis.

Accelerated Implementation of SAP ERP 6.0 (IDES independent)

With "Implementation Content", SAP provides a wide range of knowledge relating to the implementation of integrated, cross-component business processes and scenarios. It supplements the functional footprint delivered with SAP Solution Manager. You can deploy this knowledge during system implementation by using the delivered "Implementation Content" as the starting point for your project work. Further information about "Implementation Content" for SAP ERP 6.0 can be found in the Documentation area for SAP Solution Manager on the SAP Help Portal.

Maintenance Optimizer

All Support Packages (Stacks) for SAP NetWeaver 7.0 and subsequent versions, as well as all applications based on this software (including SAP Business Suite 2005) that were released after April 2, 2007, require the Maintenance Optimizer in SAP Solution Manager. SAP Download Manager

SAP strongly recommends you use SAP Solution Manager to download the software components you need to install for SAP EhP 5 for SAP ERP 6.0. The Solution Manager Maintenance Optimizer (MOpz) enables you to select the technical usages (TU) to be installed.

However, you can continue to use the SAP Download Manager to download software from the SAP Software Download Center. This is available in the SAP Service Marketplace at service.sap.com/download-basket → Get Download Manager . If you have any problems

or questions relating to the SAP Download Manager, you can create a customer message for component XX-SER-SAPSMP-SDM.

Ordering Software on CD or DVD

As an alternative to downloading software from the SAP Software Download Center, you can also order software on CD or DVD from the SAP Software Shop in the SAP Service Marketplace at service.sap.com/softwarecatalog. If you experience problems or have questions relating

to purchasing software, you can create a customer message for component XX-SER-SWFL-SHIP.

B.7) SAP Enhancement Package Info Center

As part of our ongoing commitment to deliver business innovation to customers without disruption, SAP has created a new area in the SAP Service Marketplace focusing on SAP Enhancement Packages for SAP ERP. These pages present all the information relevant to SAP Enhancement Packages in a clear and structured way, and serve customers as a single point of access. The information ranges from the SAP enhancement strategy in general, through an overview of SAP EhP 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 – including an overview of new capabilities, potential benefits, and business functions – to technical details. As well as much useful information, the pages enable you to access documentation, release information, and test catalogs. They also show possible dependencies. You can find the SAP Enhancement Package Info Center at service.sap.com/erp-ehp.

B.8) SAP Upgrade Info Center

The SAP Upgrade Info Center (which, amongst other things, was developed specially for SAP ERP), contains information about how to prepare and implement an upgrade to SAP ERP (SAP ECC 6.0), structured according to the target release. It gives you an overview of the useful tools, content, and services provided by SAP for the upgrade. One example is the SAP Upgrade Roadmap, which you can use for project planning and monitoring (together with SAP Solution Manager). You can find the SAP Upgrade Info Center at service.sap.com/upgrade-erp.

B.9) Miscellaneous

Using MDMP (Multi-Display, Multi-Processing) MDMP is no longer supported as of SAP ERP 6.0. See SAP Note 79991 for more information.

Consequently, you must convert your MDMP SAP R/3 Enterprise or MDMP mySAP ERP 2004 system to Unicode, otherwise you cannot upgrade to SAP ERP 6.0.

Note also that a blended codepage or MDSP is not an alternative – all statements regarding MDMP are also valid for blended codepages or MDSP (including all restrictions; see SAP Note 73606).

Single codepage systems (non-MDMP/non-blended codepages) are not affected by these measures. You can upgrade these systems to SAP ERP 6.0 without Unicode conversion. In general, single codepage systems are supported up to and including SAP ERP 6.0 (with the restrictions described in SAP Notes 858869 and 838402).

SAP recommends the use of Unicode – particularly with new installations (see also SAP Note 838402).

Please note that this IDES-system already is converted to Unicode.

Information About Asian Language Versions

You can find detailed information about Asian language versions in SAP Note 749760.

Customers who install the Japanese version are required to change the adjustment parameters for the Japanese address layout as described in SAP Note 639035.

Important Note for Customers Using the Database Platform DB2 for z/OS

SAP ERP 6.0 runs on SAP NetWeaver 7.0 and requires DB2 V8 and DB2 Connect V8. You can find more information about DB2 V8 releases and release restrictions in SAP Note 728743.

Modifying Add-Ons

If you are using a modifying add-on, make sure that this add-on is valid and can be used for SAP EhP 5 for ERP 6.0 before you install SAP EhP 5 for ERP 6.0. To check the details, contact the vendor or read the release information for SAP products at service.sap.com/globalization. Further information is also available in the SAP ERP 6.0

B.1) Voraussetzungen für die Nutzung des SAP Service Marketplace

Beantragung einer Benutzer-ID für den SAP Service Marketplace

Unter service.sap.com können Sie oben rechts mit dem Link Registrierung eine Benutzer-ID

für den SAP Service Marketplace beantragen. Dazu benötigen Sie eine gültige E-Mail-Adresse sowie die Kunden- oder Installationsnummer, die Sie auf dem Lieferschein dieser Auslieferung finden. Mit dieser Benutzer-ID haben Sie Zugriff auf alle Informations- und Supportkanäle von SAP.

Mit dieser Benutzer-ID können Sie außerdem Kundenmeldungen erfassen. Weitere Informationen hierzu finden Sie auf dem SAP Service Marketplace unter service.sap.com/message.

B.2) Lizenzschlüssel

Bei der Installation eines SAP-Systems wird automatisch ein temporärer Lizenzschlüssel erzeugt, der vier Wochen lang gültig ist. Direkt nach der Installation Ihrer SAP-Software müssen Sie einen dauerhaft gültigen Lizenzschlüssel beantragen. (Weitere Informationen hierzu finden Sie in den SAP-Hinweisen 94998 und 870871.) Beantragen Sie diesen Lizenzschlüssel im SAP Support Portal unter service.sap.com/support → Keys & Requests → License Keys oder unter

service.sap.com/licensekeys. Dazu benötigen Sie die Berechtigung LICENSE KEY

Der SAP EhP 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 Master Guide und der SAP ERP 6.0 Master Guide dienen als Ausgangspunkt für die Planung einer System- und Komponentenlandschaft für SAP ERP. Sie beschreiben beispielsweise eine SAP-ERP-Minimallandschaft, die notwendigen Softwarekomponenten für die Schlüsselbereiche in SAP ERP 6.0, die Installationsreihenfolge sowie die für die Installation oder das Upgrade der SAP-ERP-Softwarekomponenten erforderlichen Datenträger.

Der SAP ERP 6.0 Upgrade Master Guide dient als Ausgangspunkt für die Planung von Upgrades in einer System- und Komponentenlandschaft für SAP ERP. Support für Partnerprodukte

Beim Einsatz von SAP-Software können Fehler auftreten, die nicht durch die SAP-Produkte verursacht werden, sondern beispielsweise auf die Datenbank, das Betriebssystem, die Hardware oder andere Anwendungsprodukte zurückzuführen sind.

Hinsichtlich des Supports im Fall solcher Probleme ist Folgendes zu beachten:

Fall 1: Das Produkt wurde über SAP erworben. Dies betrifft folgende Produkte: Java Virtual Machine CrEme for PocketPC, spezielle von SAP genehmigte Treiber für mobile Endgeräte, die Datenbank IBM DB2 Everyplace für SAP Mobile Infrastructure 2.5 und die Datenbanken MS SQL Version > 7, Oracle RDBMS, Informix-Online-Server, DB2 UDB oder Anwendungsprodukte (z. B. von Requisite). In diesem Fall ist SAP ihr Ansprechpartner für den Support dieser Produkte und übernimmt im Rahmen des SAP-Wartungsvertrags die Verantwortung für die gemeinsame Problemlösung zusammen mit dem Hersteller.

Fall 2: Das Produkt wurde nicht über SAP erworben.

1. Dies betrifft alle anderen Produkte, z. B. alle Betriebssysteme und die Hardware, sowie die Datenbank IBM DB2/400, Nicht-SAP-Anwendungsprodukte und ggf. Werkzeuge sowie Funktionen zur Datenbankadministration. Der Ansprechpartner für den Support dieser Produkte ist der Hersteller. Wenn der Fehler ursprünglich an SAP gemeldet wurde, leitet der SAP-Support diese Meldung an die Supportorganisation des betreffenden Partners weiter. Hierzu hat SAP mit allen Partnern vertraglich festgelegte Übergabeprozesse vereinbart. Beachten Sie, dass der Partner nur Support leistet, sofern zwischen Ihnen und dem Hersteller ein gültiger Supportvertrag für das betreffende Produkt besteht. Beachten Sie außerdem, dass dabei die vereinbarten Servicezeiten (z. B. Wochenende, nachts) ein entscheidender Vertragsbestandteil sind.

2. Überprüfen Sie, ob Ihre Supportverträge der Empfehlung unserer Partner oder den oben genannten Bedingungen entsprechen, und setzen Sie sich gegebenenfalls direkt mit dem Partner oder einem für die Partnerprodukte zuständigen Dienstleister in Verbindung.

B.5) SAP Solution Manager

Mit dem SAP Solution Manager bietet Ihnen SAP eine Plattform an, mit der Sie SAP ERP 6.0 einführen, betreiben und stetig erweitern und optimieren können. Der SAP Solution Manager versetzt Sie in die Lage, die Supportleistungen von SAP umfassend zu nutzen, und gibt Ihnen die Möglichkeit, vom breiten Leistungsspektrum des SAP-Supports sowie von den Angeboten der SAP im Hinblick auf stetige Optimierung zu profitieren.

SAP empfiehlt unbedingt den Einsatz des SAP Solution Manager, um die Softwarekomponenten zu ermitteln, die zur Nutzung der gewünschten Business Functions zu installieren sind. Als Mindestvoraussetzung muss SAP Solution Manager 7.0 Support Package 23 im SAP-Solution-

Manager-System installiert sein. Mit dem Solution Manager Maintenance Optimizer (MOPz) können Sie die zu installierenden Technical Usages auswählen. Weitere Informationen zur Implementierung finden Sie im SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 Master Guide oder.im SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 Upgrade Master Guide, wenn Sie von einem früheren SAP enhancement package ein Upgrade durchführen.

Während des Installationsprozesses wird ein SAP-Solution-Manager-System benötigt, um den „SAP Solution Manager Key“ für die Installation von SAP EhP 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 zu generieren. Ohne diesen Schlüssel kann der Installationsprozess nicht erfolgreich abgeschlossen werden.

Führen Sie in Ihrem SAP-ERP-Projekt folgende Aktivitäten mit dem SAP Solution Manager aus: • Definieren Sie Ihre Systemlandschaft. • Binden Sie vorhandene Systeme zur Aktivierung des EarlyWatch Alert ein. • Definieren Sie die für Ihre Implementierung relevanten SAP-ERP-6.0-Geschäftsprozesse.

Außerdem empfiehlt SAP folgende Aktivitäten: • Dokumentation, Konfiguration und Test der bereits definierten Geschäftsprozesse • Schulung der Endanwender im Umgang mit dem SAP Solution Manager

B.8) SAP Upgrade Info Center

Das SAP Upgrade Info Center, welches unter anderem speziell für SAP ERP entwickelt wurde, enthält nach Zielrelease strukturierte Informationen zur Vorbereitung und Durchführung eines Releasewechsels auf SAP ERP (d. h. SAP ECC 6.0). Hier finden Sie eine Übersicht über nützliche Tools, Inhalte und Services, die SAP für das Upgrade anbietet. B.9) Verschiedenes

Nutzung von MDMP (multi-display, multi-processing) MDMP wird ab SAP ERP 6.0 nicht mehr unterstützt. Beachten Sie hierzu SAP-Hinweis 79991.

Infolgedessen müssen Sie Ihr MDMP-SAP-R/3-Enterprise- oder MDMP-mySAP-ERP-2004-System auf Unicode umstellen, da andernfalls kein Upgrade auf SAP ERP 6.0 möglich ist.

Beachten Sie auch, dass eine gemischte Codepage oder MDSP keine Alternative darstellt – alle Aussagen für MDMP gelten auch für gemischte Codepages oder MDSP (mit allen Einschränkungen, siehe SAP-Hinweis 73606).

Single-Codepage-Systeme (Non-MDMP/Nicht-gemischte Codepages) sind von den genannten Maßnahmen nicht betroffen. Ein Upgrade dieser Systeme auf SAP ERP 6.0 ist ohne Unicode-Konvertierung möglich. Generell werden Single-Codepage-Systeme noch bis einschließlich SAP ERP 6.0 unterstützt (mit den u. a. in SAP-Hinweis 858869 und SAP-Hinweis 838402 beschriebenen Einschränkungen).

SAP empfiehlt die Verwendung von Unicode – insbesondere bei Neuinstallationen (siehe auch SAP-Hinweis 838402).

Bei dem vorliegenden IDES ECC 6.0 handelt es sich um ein Unicode System!

D'après les informations fournies dans le chapitre Media Information des documents SAP EhP 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 Master Guide et SAP ERP 6.0 Master Guide, déterminez les supports de données du package dont vous avez besoin pour l'installation ou la montée de version des composantes logicielles SAP ERP correspondantes. B.1) Conditions requises pour l'utilisation de SAP Service Marketplace

Demande d'ID (identifiant) utilisateur pour SAP Service Marketplace

Pour demander un ID utilisateur pour SAP Service Marketplace, accédez à service.sap.com

et sélectionnez Registration en haut à droite de l'écran. Pour vous inscrire, vous devez disposer d'une adresse électronique valide ainsi que de votre numéro de client ou d'installation, que vous trouverez sur le bon de livraison joint à cet envoi. Cet ID utilisateur vous permet d'accéder à tous les canaux d'information et d'assistance de SAP.

Cet ID utilisateur vous permet également de créer des messages client. Pour plus d'informations, consultez SAP Service Marketplace à l'adresse service.sap.com/message.

B.2) Clés de licence

Lorsque vous installez un système SAP, une clé de licence temporaire est automatiquement créée. Cette clé est valide pendant quatre semaines. Vous devez demander une clé de licence permanente immédiatement après l'installation du logiciel. (Pour plus d'informations, reportez-vous aux notes SAP 94998 et 870871.) Vous demandez cette clé de licence sur SAP Support Portal via service.sap.com/support → Keys & Requests → License Keys ou via

service.sap.com/licensekeys. Pour ce faire, vous avez besoin de l'autorisation LICENSE

Les documents SAP EhP 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 Master Guide et SAP ERP 6.0 Master Guide constituent les points de départ de la planification d'une infrastructure système et de composantes SAP ERP. Ils proposent des informations sur l'infrastructure SAP minimale, les composantes logicielles nécessaires pour les domaines fonctionnels clés de SAP ERP 6.0, la séquence d'installation, les supports de données requis pour l'installation ou la montée de version des composantes SAP ERP, etc.

Le document SAP ERP 6.0 Upgrade Master Guide est le point de départ de la planification des montées de version dans une infrastructure système et de composantes SAP ERP. Pour les problèmes d'installation généraux, utilisez les composantes standard, telles que BC-INS-NT ou BC-INS-UNX. Pour les problèmes spécifiques à IDES, utilisez la composante XX-IDES.

Stratégie de maintenance

SAP vous recommande de toujours installer les assemblages de Support Packages SAP les plus récents. Les assemblages de Support Packages consistent en un ensemble de Support Packages SAP.

Remarque : Le système IDES comprend déjà plusieurs Support Packages. Vous devez décider vous-même de la nécessité d'en importer d'autres.

Assistance pour les produits partenaires

Lors de l'utilisation de produits SAP, il se peut que vous rencontriez des erreurs dues, non aux produits SAP eux-mêmes, mais à la base de données, au système d'exploitation, au matériel ou à d'autres logiciels d'application.

Lorsque vous demandez une assistance pour ces problèmes, veuillez prêter attention aux éléments suivants :

Cas n°1 : le produit a été acheté par le biais de SAP Cela s'applique aux produits suivants : Java Virtual Machine CrEme pour PocketPC, pilotes de dispositifs mobiles spécifiques approuvés par SAP, base de données IBM DB2 Everyplace pour SAP Mobile Infrastructure 2.5 et bases de données MS SQL version 7 et supérieures, Oracle RDBMS, Informix Online, DB2 UDB ou logiciels d'application (de Requisite, par exemple). Dans ce cas, vous devez vous adresser à SAP pour obtenir une assistance ; nous nous chargeons, en collaboration avec le fournisseur du produit, de trouver une solution dans le cadre du contrat de maintenance SAP.

Cas n°2 : le produit n'a pas été acheté par le biais de SAP

1. Ceci s'applique à tous les autres produits, tels que les systèmes d'exploitation et le matériel, notamment les bases de données IBM DB2/400, les logiciels d'application non-SAP et les outils/fonctionnalités d'administration de bases de données, le cas échéant. Pour obtenir une assistance sur ces produits, vous devez vous adresser au fournisseur. Toutefois, si l'erreur a d'abord été signalée à SAP, le service d'assistance de SAP transmet ce message au service d'assistance du partenaire concerné. SAP et tous ses partenaires sont liés par des contrats définissant clairement la procédure à suivre pour ces transferts de messages client. Notez que le partenaire vous fournira uniquement son assistance si vous avez un contrat d'assistance valable auprès du fournisseur pour le produit en question. Notez également que les horaires d'intervention fixés (les week-ends et les nuits, par exemple) constituent un élément clé de ce contrat.

2. Veuillez vous assurer que vos contrats d'assistance satisfont aux recommandations de nos partenaires et/ou aux conditions précitées. Si nécessaire, contactez directement le partenaire ou un fournisseur de services pour le produit partenaire.

B.5) SAP Solution Manager

Avec SAP Solution Manager, SAP vous fournit une plate-forme prenant en charge l'implémentation, l'exploitation et l'amélioration continue de SAP ERP 6.0. SAP Solution Manager vous permet de bénéficier pleinement des services d'assistance de SAP et de profiter de la vaste gamme des offres d'amélioration continue et de support de SAP.

SAP vous recommande vivement d'utiliser SAP Solution Manager pour déterminer les composantes logicielles à installer pour pouvoir utiliser les Business Functions souhaitées. La configuration minimale requiert l'installation de SAP Solution Manager 7.0 Support Package 23 dans le système SAP Solution Manager. Le Solution Manager Maintenance Optimizer (MOpz) vous permet de sélectionner les utilisations techniques à installer. Pour plus d'informations sur l'implémentation, reportez-vous au document SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 Master Guide ou au document SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 Upgrade Master Guide, si vous souhaitez effectuer une montée de version à partir d'un package d'extension SAP précédent.

Lors du processus d'installation, un système SAP Solution Manager est nécessaire afin de générer la « clé SAP Solution Manager » pour l'installation de SAP EhP 5 for SAP ERP 6.0. Sans cette clé, le processus d'installation ne pourra pas s'effectuer correctement.

Exécutez les activités suivantes avec SAP Solution Manager dans le cadre de votre projet SAP ERP : • Définissez votre infrastructure système. • Connectez les systèmes existants pour activer EarlyWatch Alert. • Définissez les processus de gestion SAP ERP 6.0 appropriés pour votre implémentation.

SAP vous recommande en outre d'effectuer les activités suivantes : • Documentez, configurez et testez les processus de gestion que vous avez déjà définis. • Formez les utilisateur finals sur l'utilisation de SAP Solution Manager.

Si vous utilisez des composantes SAP basées sur la pile Java, installez et utilisez Solution Manager Diagnostics pour l'analyse des causes profondes.

SAP Download Manager

SAP vous recommande vivement d'utiliser SAP Solution Manager pour télédécharger les composantes à installer pour SAP EhP 5 for SAP ERP 6.0. Le Solution Manager Maintenance Optimizer (MOpz) vous permet de sélectionner les utilisations techniques à installer.

B.7) SAP Enhancement Package Info Center

Dans le cadre de son engagement d'innovation continue envers les clients, SAP a créé une nouvelle section dans le SAP Service Marketplace, consacrée aux packages d'extension SAP pour SAP ERP. Ces pages présentent toutes les informations concernant les packages d'extension SAP sous forme claire et structurée, et constituent un point d'accès central pour les clients. Vous y trouverez des informations relatives à la stratégie d'extension SAP en général, ainsi qu'une vue d'ensemble de SAP EhP 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 (avec une synthèse des nouvelles fonctionnalités, des avantages potentiels et des Business Functions) ou encore des détails techniques. En plus d'être une source d'informations privilégiée, ces pages vous permettent d'accéder à la documentation, aux nouveautés version et aux catalogues de test. Elles indiquent également les dépendances possibles. Vous pouvez accéder au SAP Enhancement Package Info Center via service.sap.com/erp-ehp.

B.8) SAP Upgrade Info Center

Le SAP Upgrade Info Center (qui a, entre autres, été développé spécifiquement pour SAP ERP) contient des informations sur la préparation et l'implémentation d'une montée de version vers SAP ERP (SAP ECC 6.0), dont la structure est fonction de la version cible. Vous obtenez une vue d'ensemble de tous les outils, contenus et services fournis par SAP pour la montée de version. Par exemple, vous pouvez utiliser la SAP Upgrade Roadmap (feuille de route pour la montée de version) afin de planifier et d'effectuer le suivi des projets (avec SAP Solution Manager). Vous pouvez accéder au SAP Upgrade Info Center via service.sap.com/upgrade-erp.

B.9) Divers

Utilisation de MDMP (Multi-Display-Multi-Processing) MDMP n'est plus supporté à partir de SAP ERP 6.0. Reportez-vous à la note SAP 79991 pour plus d'informations.

Vous devez donc convertir votre système MDMP SAP R/3 Enterprise ou MDMP mySAP ERP 2004 en un système Unicode, faute de quoi vous ne pourrez pas effectuer la montée de version vers SAP ERP 6.0.

Notez également qu'un jeu de caractères mixte ou MDSP ne constitue pas une alternative ; toutes les instructions relatives à MDMP sont également valides pour les jeux de caractères mixtes ou MDSP (y compris les restrictions ; voir la note SAP 73606).

Les systèmes de page de code unique (jeux de caractères non mixtes/non-MDMP) ne sont pas concernés par ces mesures. Vous pouvez effectuer la montée de version de ces systèmes vers SAP ERP 6.0 sans conversion Unicode. En règle générale, les systèmes de page de code unique sont supportés jusqu'à SAP ERP 6.0 inclus (avec les restrictions décrites dans les notes SAP 858869 et 838402).

SAP recommande l'utilisation d'Unicode, en particulier avec les nouvelles installations (voir aussi la note SAP 838402).

Notez que ce système IDES est déjà converti en Unicode.

Informations sur les versions en langues asiatiques

Vous trouverez des informations détaillées sur les versions en langues asiatiques dans la note SAP 749760.

Les clients qui installent la version japonaise doivent changer les paramètres d'ajustement en ce qui concerne le format d'adresse japonais, comme décrit dans la note SAP 639035.

Note importante pour les clients qui utilisent Database Platform DB2 for z/OS

SAP ERP 6.0 tourne sur SAP NetWeaver 7.0 et requiert l'installation de DB2 V8 et DB2 Connect V8. Vous trouverez des informations supplémentaires sur les versions de DB2 V8 et leurs restrictions dans la note SAP 728743.

Add-ons de modification
