  • The International Construction Week (ICW) is the premier Annual event for the construction industry in Malaysia and Southeast Asia.

The ICW is a platform for the construction industry players in Malaysia and around the region to showcase, learn and explore the latest trends, developments and technologies surrounding the construction industry. It is also an event to celebrate and promote the capability of the construction industry as well as providing a platform for the players network and share experiences.

ICW has been hosted by the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia annually since 1998.

In 2019, CIDB will collaborate with UBM to bring ASEAN Super 8 as the mega-exhibition component within ICW.

The ASEAN Super 8 is expected to be the biggest built industries exhibition in the ASEAN region, to be held from the 19th to 21st of March 2019.

ASEAN Super 8 consist of eight distinct exhibitions covering construction, engineering, energy, heavy machinery and equipment and security.

Apart from exhibition, the ICW will also feature the second International Construction Transformation Conference (ICTC), which objective is to promote international best practices in construction which are aligned with the general objective of the Construction Industry Transformation Programme (CITP).

The ICTC will feature world renowned innovators in construction such as Prof. Patrick Bellew RIBA, Neil Thomas MBE, Sarah Ichioka and Serina Hijjas, among others. The sessions will touch in topics like innovation and productivity in construction, smart cities and Construction Safety. The ICTC is expected to attract more than 1,000 participants from all over the world.

Other events to be held in conjunction with the ICW include the CIDB-MSSA Open Ideas Competition, Business Matching, Technology Symposiums, Workshops and Seminars.
