Proposed Rule Changes for 2010•Season Starts May 5th – Ends Aug 4th
•Option to Use a Super Tie Break− Prior to the start of each match, provided there is a
majority decision of the four players involved in the match, a 10 point super tiebreak may be played in lieu of a complete third set.
− If a majority cannot be reached (ie: 2 want to play a complete set and 2 want to play a super tiebreak) then the third set will be played to completion.

Proposed Rule Changes for 2010 (con’td)•Medical Time Out
− A player may take 1 medical time out of a maximum of 10 minutes for an injury/illness experienced during a match. The player may receive on court treatment or leave the court for assistance. The match is assumed to be retired after 10 minutes.
•Fixture Forfeits− Provided best effort has been made to field a complete
lineup, teams can play line 1 and line 2 without being penalized for a fixture forfeiture.
− All scheduled matches must be played. Captains cannot make agreements to cancel fixtures and split points. Teams that make no attempt to play their scheduled fixture may be assessed a -6 point penalty for forfeiting a fixture.
− The final decision on any fixture forfeit penalties will be made by the Division Chair.
