We are going to look at creating a basic spreadsheet model for our band.

Things to think about:

1) What do formulas start with?2) How you add up a range of cells?

Reorganise information into a more useful form

Open Tour Figures and read the email from the band, which contains some financial information about their tour.

The information is not very clear, though.

First, enter the figures in the email into the table below it. You should find figures for Price per unit, Unit sales, Cost per unit and Units bought. .

Construct a basic model – Extension 2

Now that you have got your model working can you write a report to the band letting them know how their tour went.

Could you include:

1) A breakdown of the costs?2) Where their money came from?3) Suggestions for the band based on your GOAL

SEEK answers4) How well their tour did overall
