ICO is the informer IPO. So I’m going to go straight to the point, bypassing
any ebook writing rules.
I permit you to share this report. Send it to grand ma, grand pa, uncles,
friends and even enemies. The whole world should know about what I call

ICO is like the new Gold Mine. Everyone is rushing for it because it’s the new
millionaire maker.
But it can also be the source of serious pains. Yes. People are losing money
too. The good news however is that once you make money, the profit is so
huge that you unconsciously forget the other losses.
So let’s start the journey…

A - What are Initial Coin Offerings?
We are living in a moment of financial transition, moving to a cashless
society. We will soon be transacting business, buying and selling stuffs
without any direct contact with cash. Our physical coins and paper money
will soon be forgotten. The new era currency will be digital.
Digital money (or cryptocurrency) is borderless currency. It’s the people’s
currency, not controlled by any central body – no Governments, no central
banks. It’s currency for anyone that lives on earth.
The technology that powers cryptocurrency is called Blockchain. It’s the
next big thing. It is a peer-to-peer, distributed and very secured computer
network. Any business that runs on the computer network can use a
Blockchain.
Though the Blockchain technology owes its origin to cryptocurrency, its uses
are unnumbered. Any sector in our countries can now implement Blockchain.
Blockchain is giving birth to new business
New Blockchain-based businesses are being born as we speak. Like I said,
any business can run on a Blockchain. That also means they can have their
own currency that is unanimously accepted by anyone operating on the
network.
NB: This report is not about Blockchain`
Now, if any Blockchain-based company wants funds to sponsor a startup
project, it has different ways to raise capital. One of them is ICO (started in
2013 by J.R. Willet, the creator of Mastercoin Blockchain Company)
In ICOs, these Blockchain startups offer investors the opportunity to invest in
their projects by purchasing a part of their currency units in advance at a
very low purchase price.
Investors who purchase these units (digital tokens or cryptocurrency) expect
their values to rise over time so they can sell them on online exchanges like
Bittrex or Poloniex at a higher price than the initial purchase price to make
profit.

Simply put, ICOS are like crowdfunding or IPOs.
But…
In IPOs, private companies go public by selling stocks to the general public
to raise funds.
Crowdfunding is the practice of funding a business or cause by raising
small amounts of money from a large number of people typically via the
internet using platforms like Go Fund Me, Angel List, Kickstarter, etc
What crowdfunding investors get is promised by the entrepreneur, depending
on what the funds are raised for.
In ICOs, Blockchain startups, sell some of their coins to investors in advance
(before the project is launched) at a very cheap price in an unregulated
marketplace.
ICOs are run on Blockchain app, usually Ethereum which has an inbuilt smart
contract tool that can effectively handle payments and tokens distribution.
When you invest in ICOs, unlike IPOs, you have no shares in the company.
You get just coins (that may even be useless in future if the project fails) and
in some cases, the right to vote on future decisions.
ICOs don’t follow any regulations. No government or company lays
conditions for anyone to follow. That makes it a very liberal market.
Blockchain startups can launch an ICO at any time with little or preparation
and investors can jump on board regardless of income and country.

B - Can ICO make me a millionaire?
We’ve gained some basic knowledge on ICO, and remember I called it above
the millionaire maker. But how true is this?
Well, we are going to have some data-backed examples of opportunities we
missed in the past that did make some investors millionaires. Before we end
this report, of course, we will be seeing which steps to take to position you
for a millionaire lifestyle.
Example 1: Stratis
Stratis is a Blockchain company in the financial sector.
Stratis ICO was in June 2016 with the tokens (STRAT) valued at $0.017. If
you invested $100, that would have given you 5882 STRATS.
What’s profit today?
Following data from coinmarketcap.com, a STRAT coin today is $5.74. That
makes you 5882*5.74 = $34,932 and that’s just from a $100 investment.
What if you took risk to invest more?
Example 2: Ethereum
Ethereum is the second largest cryptocurrency after Bitcoin based on market
cap.
In 2014, Ethereum’s ETHER was valued at $0.30. If you invested $100, you
were going to get 333 ETH.
What’s today’s value?
What would you get today?
333*225 = $75,925 from a $investment.

Example 3: qtum
This is a very recent ICO that took place in Match 2017 and is already
putting profit in the hands of many. While IPO investors wait for years to see
liquid profit, ICO business doesn’t keep you waiting for over months.
Early bird Qtum ICO investors in Match 2017 spent $0.34 to purchase 1
QTUM token.
Investing $100 would have left you with 294 QTUM tokens. Where are we
today?
294*7.01 = $2,060 in 4 months
Amazing! And the value is growing.
Now, these are just some few examples of some ICOS that have created
millionaires. If you invested $1000 in these ICOS, today you are going to be
talking in millions.
NB: The stats for current values were taken from coinmarketcap.com. Other
information about ICO (Token sales) was drawn from the company websites.

C – What’s the Risk?
Just like in any investment undertakings, ICOs are not without risk. This new
and unregulated activity is very lucrative and profitable. However, the risk
involved can be a huge deterrent.
There are two scenarios:
1. Chose few well researched ICOs and invest a large portion of your
2. Spread your money over many ICOs in bits
If you are so sure of the authenticity and growth of a startup project, you
may want to buy hundreds of thousands of their coins. Imagine investing
$15,000 in ETHER ICO. That would have given you 50,000ETH, making you
$11,250,000 today. That’s twenty-five million dollars.
In a case of uncertainly, you would shred your capital and spread it across
many different ICOs. Sure fact is, you are going to make profit.
Given that ICOs don’t have any central policy to protect investors, the risk
factor seems to dominate the industry. This however doesn’t melt out the
genuineness of most startups.
But what are some of the things to look for before taking steps to
surrender your pocket content?
1) The project team
Most genuine projects publish the biographies of their founders, developers
and team members. Team members’ track records can be a useful factor to
point out the authenticity degree of a project.
ICOs let by a group of anonymous developers or a team made up of persons
that are completely unknown in the community should keep you wary.
2) Project Roadmap
The project roadmap is its development plan and strategy. How realistic is
the roadmap and which goals have been reached over time?
Have there been failures and are there any catchup plans? Has there been
any release of Blockchain/wallet demos?
ICO MONEY By Enstine Muki of enstinemuki.com
3) ICO escrows
Escrows are simply the middle men/institutions (Payment agents) between
buyers and sellers who are unknown to each other.
They (escrow) hold funds from buyers. Once the products are delivered to
the buyers, they then release payments to sellers. Should there be any
failure to deliver as stated by seller, funds are returned to buyer.
ICO escrow will hold the funds from investors until development of project is
done and the coins hit exchanges and available for public.
Once the coins get listed on exchanges, they can be traded or converted to
fiat or other cryptocurrencies.
4) Documentations
For the most part, legitimate ICOs are well documented and provide
information to back up their projects. While reading the project Whitepaper is
a good idea, pay attention to the authenticity of its content. ETC
5) The project industry
All ICO projects seek to address an issue in an industry. If the business is
not well researched, the creators may be hitting a barren soil.
Pay attention to the problem the ICO product seeks to resolve and judge by
yourself if there is demand for it.
Where are the risks?
1) You invest in a scam ICO. The initiators never had any intention to
launch any project. They just created the ICO to steal money from
investors.
2) The project is a bad business idea. People are not really consuming the
product. There is no demand for it and the coin values just remains
below low or keeps falling below ICO sales value.
Bottom line is that there is risk involved but don’t get scared. Go ahead, do
your research and take the risk. There is big profit ahead.

D – How to Invest – Where to start
Now, you’ve read all these points. You’ve done some more research on
Google and you are now fueled. You want to start investment. But where do
you start? Where do you find those ICOs? How do you make payments? I will
cover all of that in this section.
Like in most cases, there is a place (places) to find past, ongoing and
upcoming ICOs. Here are some websites to go look for them:
https://tokenmarket.net/ico-calendar
http://icorating.com/
https://www.icocountdown.com/
https://www.icoalert.com/
What I use most on the list is TokenMarket where I can easily get an idea
how popular an ICO is:
As a matter of fact, there is nothing I can tell you now that will be applicable
to all the ICOs. How to invest will always be detailed on the token sales
page. You are advised to read the investment instructions attentively.
Some ICOs will only accept contributions with Ethereum. Others allow you to
invest using Bitcoin, Ripple, etc.
The most recommended Ethereum web wallet is myetherwallet.com. For the
most part, your tokens will instantly be available in your Ethereum wallet.

E – ICO Phases
Most ICOs are structured in phases. These phases are slightly different in
terms of the minimum investment required and the number of tokens
offered:
Presale Phase: This is always not for everyone. Some companies
require you send an application and the minimum purchase price is
often not at the reach of the masses.
Revets ICO was rated as HOT by Tokenmarket but the presale phase was
not a joke at all. You needed up to 150ETH to invest
Crowdsale Phase: This phase is often very accessible with most ICOs
setting the minimum at 0.01ETH, which is quite affordable.
In some other cases, the crowdsale phase is sub divided depending on the
number of ETHs raised. Once a certain number of ETHs are collected from
investors, there will be a drop in the quantity you get for the same price.
Running an ICO in phases creates fomo and increases sales. Generally, the
earlier you invest, the more tokens you get.

F – How to invest more with little
While IPOs are a thing for the rich, ICOs are available at the doorsteps of
everyone anywhere in the world. However, investing in these coin offerings
can still be a costly exercise.
You may not dispose of $1000 for a more reasonable investment. Not
everyone can even afford 1ETH at the moment. But does that mean it’s not
for you? No
ICOs (generally in crowdsale phase) allow you to invest anything as low as
0.01ETH. That’s not up to $5 at the moment. That means investors with $50
can become millionaires. Here is what I recommend if you are on very tight
budget:
Convert your dollars to ETH (see below)
Do your thorough research on which ICO is legitimate.
Study its roadmap and make sure they won’t take ages to end the
sales and get the tokens listed on exchanges.
Invest the little you have and hope they get listed and the value grows.
Once they tokens are listed and the value has reasonable grown, trade
it, get more ETHs and reinvest.
Don’t be in a rush. Go gradually and steadily. You will soon become a
millionaire.

G - Practical steps
1) Go to https://www.myetherwallet.com/ and create a free account
2) Buy ETH with credit card from within your web wallet
3) Or buy Bitcoin from brokers like coinbase, coinmama, cex.io, etc. Once
you have the BTC, convert to Ethereum using an exchange site.
Shapeshift.io too is a good tool
4) Make sure your ETH coins are sent to your myetherwallet.com wallet
Some more information to look closely on the ICO sales page
The ICO payment address
When to start sending payment
How many tokens you get per ETH
The minimum you need to invest
When the token sales expires
The roadmap
H – WHAT NEXT
Make sure you keep good records of your investments. Once the coins you
invested in get listed on cryptocurrency exchanges, you will have the option
to convert them to other coins or wait and hope the value will rise. That’s
fully your choice.
The more ICOs you invest in, the more your chances to make more money
from the unregulated market. Like the saying goes, do not put all your eggs
in one basket.
