One of the most colourful and inspiring seasons of the year, Spring in Scotland is filled with opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors as well as Scotland’s finest produce.

Thinking about the best most exciting events and activities ICMI guests could experience this year, we have a few suggestions for you. Twinkles of inspiration to encourage you to live life to the fullest.

2015 is the year of Food and Drink in Scotland. In the next 10 months, ICMI hotels will be showcasing the best of Scottish produce through exceptional menus carefully designed to awaken your taste buds. Having Chef Albert Roux OBE overseeing our Roux Restaurants along his son and cherished chef Michel Roux Jnr, makes ICMI food offerings extra special and a very good extra reason for families and couples to allocate time to enjoy life, Scotland and the luxury of time together.

We all know that finding ways to keep the kids entertained during the school holidays can be a challenge. To many couples, this can be a stressful time. Thinking of that, all ICMI Hotels have a range of recommended outdoor activities in and around the properties, activities for different interests and budgets that will certainly entertain parents and children.

Easter, 5th of April

Like Christmas, Easter is that time when we forget about the world to focus on our family. More and more families are now spending Easter at hotels, to avoid the stresses and troubles brought by all the preparations and after-party housekeeping after family gatherings. We aim to provide a different and relaxing Easter experience to our guests, with exquisite food, a luxurious and comfortable environment and Scotland’s scenic views as a backdrop.

3rd of April: Good Friday

We often forget about long weekends until the week before they start. They are ideal opportunities to go for a drive, enjoy the great outdoors or to take a few days to rest and re-energise. It is scientifically proven that small breaks lower blood pressure, improve sleep and make us more creative.

Etape Loch Ness, Sunday 26th of April

A cycle sportive taking place around iconic Loch Ness offering the chance to cycle 66 miles around the loch on traffic free roads. The team at The Inch Hotel in Fort Augustus and Rocpool Reserve Hotel in Inverness would be delighted to welcome you and make your experience of the event a memorable one.

Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival

Held annually, the event is a celebration of Scotland’s national drink through an inventive and wide-ranging programme of whisky-inspired events.

Rugby:Melrose 7s, 11th of April

An annual Sevens tournament held at Melrose, Scotland since 1883.
