ICIEC appoints new CEO
The Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of Investment and Export Credit (ICIEC) has appointedOussama Abdel Rahman Kaissi as its new CEO.
Kaissi has over 28 years of experience in the insurance and takaful industry. He is the founding CEO ofthe National Takaful Company (Watania), and also established and led Abu Dhabi National Takaful frominception until 2010. Before this, he held positions at the Arab ReInsurance Group (Arig).
He replaces Hani Salem Sonbol, who was named acting CEO in October last year after his predecessorAbdel Rahman ElTayeb Taha retired from the business.

Out of which16 years are at the senior executive level. He is the founding CEOof the National Takaful Company, Watania, had also establishedand led Abu Dhabi National Takaful from inception till 2010.Prior to this he was the GM of ARIG, Bahrain, the MD of ALIG,Lebanon and the Senior Head of Operation in ARIG, Bahrain.
Graduated in 1987 from Indiana University, USA and havingworked in USA, UAE, Bahrain and Lebanon both in conventional and Takaful companies, Mr. Kaissi has gotvastly diversified exposure to different markets, cultures and business models.
