In the distance she heard a beat playing softly. She knew she had danced to these same tunes when they where coming from the speakers of the laptop in her bedroom. Somehow this felt different. It felt unnaturally good, almost surreal. She headed towards the source of the music, and started swaying. Her mind was flooded with thoughts, thoughts that seemed to be from a different time.

She knew she had found the place of her desires. So enlightening and moving, she would not be able to erase these memories ever again;

She was alone, yet she was not. People had joined her in her swaying. They were enjoying just being free and wild together. Her floral kimono was billowing all around her. It was up, it was down, it was floating, and yet it hugged her slender body.

She would normally worry about how she presented herself, but in this moment she was carefree. She hoped to always feel this sensation, to never forget it, that it would live with her for the rest of her life, the memories buried so deep, as if they were written on her soul.”

She drifted out of her daydream, and looked at the plastic coin in her hand. It was bizarre that a silly, fake coin could bring back all those memories from such an unbelievable festival last summer. After putting it back in the cupboard, she realized she couldn’t wait for all the experiences she would get from the slowly approaching summer solstice.

They bring something new to the table “they are the personification of light”.

Perfect to give you that summer feeling. This is a song you will expect to be played when entering a nice beach club when you’re getting some late night drinks. Fresh, up beat, simple yet enough. And if we may admit, this would be the perfect song to get first eye contact with that guy sitting at the table next to you. “Around his little finger this boy got me hooked”. Indeed, they got us hooked.

Working on that deadline? Having to put your full attention to one subject, but can’t bare to work in the silence? This is the perfect tune to work to. And last but not least: Sick muse. Performed by Metric, a Canadian rock group. Better to say, this song is a mix of indie rock and new wave. A good mix. A song you dance to when you’re all by yourself in your room when getting ready for your festivals. This song is from the album ‘Fantasies’ and was actually short listed for the Polaris Music Prize. Kind of a big deal you would say, and yes they are because they won the Alternative album of the year award at the Juno awards. We assure you, they are worth being listened to.
