ABC BOOK PROJECT

Poster BoardCreate a poster that includes information on all of the following aspects of your country with pictures!

-Location (relative and absolute)-Region (in Africa, major landforms)-Culture (religion, language)-Education-Food-History (colonization, wars, independence, present time)-Natural Resources

Travel BrochureCreate a trifold brochure of your country and include at least 5 places a tourist should visit. Explain why

these places are must see!Include current price of airfare, hotel and food, etc. Discuss culture of people the visitor is likely to see, language they will have to speak with locals, the climate the visitor will expect and you must include pictures of these places.

ABC BookCreate an ABC book using All the letters of the Alphabet.Include a cover for the book. The letters must represent an important person, event, place, thing, concept, vocabulary, term or idea about the unit. Each letter needs to have at least ONE sentence description AND a picture (drawn or from internet). You can skip ONLY 4 letters in the alphabet of your choice.

You will create an ABC about the country of Africa you have been assigned. Cover: Your book should have a cover, which contains a title that is large enough to read from a distance, the name of the book's authors (group members), and an illustration or decoration that relates to Africa.

Title Page: The title page needs to include the title of the book, an explanation of the project, and your names.

Complete - with Pictures and Color: You are to have a page for every letter of the alphabet. Each page should have a letter clearly displayed. The letters must represent an important person, event, place, thing, concept, vocabulary, term or idea about the unit of Africa and some sort of picture that is hand drawn or printed or a decoration. There must be at least one sentence per page stating a fact which MUST be tied to the word, phrase, or idea that goes with the letter, country and unit. You are welcome to include more than two sentences per page! Neatness: Your book MUST be neatly completed. Writing & Conventions: The sentences included in your book need to be written correctly following the rules of grammar, mechanics, and punctuation. Spelling counts! Creativity: You are to use creativity as you complete this project!

Travel Brochure: You will create a travel brochure of the country you have been given. You are to become like experts on your country to be able to persuade your fellow classmates to vacation in your country

Find information on at least 5 places to see or things to do for entertainment/sightseeing in your country that a visitor would enjoy

Find either a travel package to that destination or research the costs of airfare, hotel and food. (you can use the web for that with sources like Expedia.com, Hotels.com, Tripadvisor.com, etc.)

Include a map of the country and the city of interest

Include least three pictures of your country’s sights you want the visitor to go to(obtained from the internet)

You should find out as much as you can about your country (climates, what to pack, how much food will cost, best methods of transportation, etc.).

Prepare a Tri-fold brochure with the travel information
